ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Display Driver Install ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Display Driver Install utility program to install the display drivers
you need for your high-resolution display adapters. You will be prompted for
the location of the display drivers.
This window shows the types of display adapters the system will use for your
display devices. In most cases, the display adapters shown will be correct.
You can choose an adapter with a lower resolution. (For example, you can
change XGA to VGA.) However, if a specific SVGA adapter is shown, do not
change to another specific SVGA adapter. You can change from a specific SVGA
adapter to Super VGA (SVGA) or to the lower-resolution VGA.
To accept these values, select OK.
To change the values shown, use the mouse or Spacebar to place a check mark in
the box next to the choice. Then select OK.
For a detailed explanation of each field, select from the list below:
o Primary Display
o Secondary Display
o OK
o Cancel

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for Primary Display Adapter Type ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The type of display adapter that has been detected for your primary display
device is highlighted in the Display Adapters list. In most cases, this display
adapter will be correct. (To determine the type of display adapter you have,
refer to the documentation that came with the display adapter.)
If you want to change to another adapter, be aware of the following:
o You can change from a high-resolution adapter (such as XGA or SVGA) to a
lower-resolution adapter (such as VGA). However, do not change from a
lower-resolution adapter to a higher-resolution adapter.
o If a specific SVGA adapter is highlighted, do not change to another specific
SVGA adapter. (For example, if Tseng Laboratories ET4000 is displayed, do
not change the selection to Trident Microsystems TVGA8900.) You can change
from a specific SVGA adapter to a lower-resolution adapter (such as VGA) or
to the Super VGA (SVGA) adapter.
If the system will not start after you enter your selection, run the SETVGA
command, as documented in the Installation Guide.
For a detailed explanation of each field, select from the list below:

your display adapter manual to determine if your adapter includes a utility of
this type and for information about the utility.
You must use this utility if one of the following conditions is true:
o You are using a Diamond Computer Systems, Inc. display adapter. For these
adapters, the utility is named 24XMODE.COM or VMODE.COM.
