AVANCE LOGIC, INC.
OS/2 WARP SVGA DRIVERS VER. 1.4 FOR ALG2228/2301/2229/2302 CHIPSET

The driver set consists of the following disk:
- Display Driver Diskette (volume label AVANCE)
INSTALLATION:
-------------
The OS/2 installation procedure is as follows:
1- Under OS/2 desktop select icon: OS/2 System and then
icon: Command Prompts.
2- Select OS/2 Window or FullScreen.
3- Insert the driver diskette into the floppy drive. (e.g. drive A:)
4- Change drive to A:, If you want to install from A: drive
and OS/2 is installed on C: then type "install a c" at A:prompt
This will load necessary files needed for OS/2 installation on
the hard disk.
Steps 1-4 are required only for the first time installation of
Avance Logic drivers. On subsequent installation of drivers
you may skip the steps 1-4.
5- The installation will install an Avance Logic icon in your
os2 desktop.
6- After first time installation you just need to click Avance Logic
icon if you need to change resolution and refresh rate.
User will be prompted for Video Resolution and Refresh Rate
Selection Menu.
The yellow color highlight the resolution and green color highlight
the refresh rate.
You need to use left/right arrow key to choose resolution once you
decide resolution use up/down arrow key to choose refresh rate.
After decide the refresh rate just hit return key the os2 will
copy the necessory files and you don't need to insert the floppy
disk again.
NOTE:
-----
- Please note the volume label of "Display Driver Diskettes" are
"AVANCE". If you make copies of the disk, make sure you give correct volume labels. (Use
DOS command "LABEL" to change the volume label of a disk.)
- It is important to note that you must load SVGA (Super VGA) drivers
before you change the Avance Logic different chipset video board.
- To change to SVGA drivers just click Avance Logic icon the default
setting is VGA driver.
