  42. The mach64 device drivers supplied here are for OS/2 2.1X and OS/2 
  43. WARP.

  49. DO NOT TASK SWITCH WHILE RUNNING THE INSTALL PROGRAM.
  50.  
  51. 1. Ensure that you have a copy LOAD64.ZIP.  It is available on the ATI 
  52. BBS, ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO 
  53. ATITECH).
  54.  
  55. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE 2.04G.  PKUNZIP is 
  56. available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI BBS 
  57. and CompuServe.
  58.  
  59. 3. Open a full screen DOS session.
  60.  
  61. 4. Unzip LOAD64.ZIP and 64OS2222.ZIP into the same temporary directory 
  62. on your hard disk, then run the LOAD64 utility.  For example:
  63.  
  64. MD \ATITEMP
  65. PKUNZIP LOAD64.ZIP \ATITEMP
  66. PKUNZIP 64OS2222.ZIP \ATITEMP
  67. CD \ATITEMP
  68. LOAD64
  69.  
  70. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the OS/2 driver.  
  71.  
  72. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
  73. the temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory 
  74. itself (RD \ATITEMP).  
  75.  
  76. 7. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP files (64OS2222.ZIP 
  77. and LOAD64.ZIP), in case you need to install the driver again.      
  78.  
  79. 8. Run DSPINSTL from within an OS/2 window.
  80.  
  81. 9. When the Display Driver Install panel appears, select Primary 
  82. Display and click OK to bring up a list of choices.  You should see an 
  83. option for ATI mach64.
  84.  
  85. 10. Select 'ATI mach64 (Enhanced 2.22)' from the list and click OK. If 
  86. a error message pops-up, which says "The installed adapter does not 
  87. support the selected display driver.  Do you wish to continue?" ignore 
  88. it and click OK.
  89.  
  90. 11. When the source directory panel appears, select 'Change' and 
  91. enter:
  92. C:\MACH_OS2 (if you don't use c: as you boot drive replace it with the 
  93. appropriate drive letter) Click 'Set' and then 'Install'. After the 
  94. files are copied, exit the OS/2 window or full screen session. Shut 
  95. down and restart your system.

  97. 12. The PM driver will first come up in 640x480, 256 colors mode.  Use 
  98. the following steps to change the screen resolutions or number of 
  99. colors:
  100.  
  101.    a) Open 'OS/2 System' icon.
  102.    b) Open 'System Setup' icon.
  103.    c) Open 'System' icon.
  104.    b) Select the 'Screen' tab.
  105.    e) Select the desired resolution and number of colors from the 
  106. list.
  107.    f) Double click on the system menu icon or select close from the 
  108.     system menu to close the window.
  109.    g) Shut down and restart your system.
