AUDIT COMMITTEE REPORT
In accordance with our bylaws, a review of TBOUG's financial affairs was
performed at the December meeting by three member volunteers: Phil Johnson of
Watkins Motor Lines, Stuart Horowitz of Cash Flex, and Bruce Albritton of the
South West Florida Water Management District. Their report:
AUDIT COMMITTEE REPORT
12/7/94
Members and Officers
Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' Group:
We have reviewed the bank statements, check register and monthly
Treasurer reports for the Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' Group as of 10/31/94.
The purpose of our review was to provide a statement of opinion on
these documents and the general financial conditions and controls
reflected there in.
We conducted our review in accordance with generally accepted
financial auditing standards to obtain reasonable assurance that
these statements are free of material misstatement. While these
documents are of limited detail, we believe they provided an
adequate basis for our review.
In our opinion, the financial statements referred to above present
fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the
Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' Group as of 10/31/94 and the results of its
operations for the eleven month period ending 10/31/94, in
conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
Respectfully submitted by:
Bruce Albritton
Stuart Horowitz
Phil Johnson
TBOUG thanks these members for their participation and advice on this important
committee.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. President's Message ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Tis the season to be jolly and why not with Warp shipping and Windows 95
delayed at least until this summer? Things have never looked better for OS/2.
Much of OS/2's success can be attributed to people like yourselves. You
deserve a pat on the back for your perseverance and patience.
The momentum is certainly favoring OS/2 right now, but no one should think that
the job is complete. We need to continue to focus on what needs to be done to
improve OS/2.
The same can be said for our Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' group. Tim Bryce certainly
has got us off to a great start. I cannot say enough about the personal
contributions of Tim. I am looking forward to following in his footsteps. He
has laid a foundation that will be very easy to build upon.
Building though requires many different skills. We need each of you to
consider how you can contribute to our group and then get involved. I
challenge each of you to submit your ideas on how we can improve "our" user
group and to help your board implement those improvements.
Paul Wylie will be heading up our program this year. He is actively looking
for people to present how our members' companies are utilizing OS/2. Please
get in touch with him if you have a story to tell. He could also use some
ideas for topics you would like to see covered during our general meetings.
Lastly I would ask each of you to spread the good news about OS/2. IBM is
finally doing their part through their new advertizing program, but there is
nothing like a testimonial from another user. Capitalize on the strength of
OS/2 by making other people aware of it. No matter how great a tool you have,
its impact is only realized through usage. Lets get the great news out and
take advantage of what IBM and their customers have built.
- Dave Hancock
TBOUG President
