  7. This document contains important information regarding the
  8. installation and operation of Unite CD-Maker.  It is 
  9. recommended that this entire document be read prior to 
  10. installing this software.

  19. Release Notes
  20. -----------
  21. Version 1.0b of Unite CD-Maker provides support for the
  22. Pinnacle RCD-1000, Plasmon RF4102, HP 4020i, Pioneer DW-S114X,
  23. Smart and Friendly, and Phillips CDD-2000 CD-recorder devices.

  25. A change was also made to the CD Stage object to correct
  26. a calculation error.

  28. Installation Requirements
  29. --------------------
  30. Unite CD-Maker V1.0  or V1.0a must be installed prior to 
  31. installing this version.
  32.    
  33. Installation Procedures
  34. ------------------
  35. 1.  From an OS/2 prompt, create the sub-directory \10B
  36.     in the directory in which Unite CD-Maker is installed.
  37.     For example, if Unite CD-Maker is installed in
  38.     D:\UNITE, issue the command:
  39.  
  40.     MD D:\UNITE\10B
  41.  
  42. 2.  Copy CDM10B.EXE into the \10B sub-directory.
  43.  
  44. 3.  Execute CDM10B.EXE.  CDM10B.EXE is a self-
  45.     extracting PKZIP file which will place the Unite
  46.     CD-Maker V1.0B .DLL files into the \10B sub-
  47.     directory.

  49. 4.  Edit CONFIG.SYS.  Remove the path
  50.     <install_drive>:\<install_dir>\LIB from the LIBPATH line.
  51.     For example, if Version 1.0 of Unite CD-Maker is installed
  52.     in D:\UNITE, the path D:\UNITE\LIB must be removed from
  53.     LIBPATH.

  55. 5.  Reboot your PC.
  56.  
  57. 6.  Copy the .DLL and .MSG files from the \10B sub-directory 
  58.     into the \LIB sub-directory.  For example, if Unite 
  59.     CD-Maker V1.0 is installed in D:\UNITE, issue the command:

  61.     COPY D:\UNITE\10B\*.DLL D:\UNITE\LIB\*
  62.  
  63. 7.  Edit CONFIG.SYS.  Add the path
  64.     <install_drive>:\<install_dir>\LIB to the LIBPATH line.
  65.     For example, if Unite CD-Maker is installed in
  66.     D:\UNITE, the path D:\UNITE\LIB must be added to
  67.     LIBPATH.

  69. 8.  Reboot your PC.

  71. 9.  The files in the \10B sub-directory can be deleted and the
  72.     \10B sub-directory can be removed.

  75. Manager, created by International Business Machines Corporation and 
  76. Microsoft Corporation.

  78. To use Unite CD-Maker under OS/2 Presentation Manager, you need to
  79. license and install IBM's OS/2 WARP Version 3.0 or higher.
