  36. To start the Presentation Manager Select Pak install, type DB2FIX on a
  37. command line, select ACTION from the action bar and then SERVICE from
  38. the pull down menu.
  39.  
  40. If you have just finished installing IBM DB2/2, IBM DB2/2 Service Pak WR07015
  41. (syslevel WR07015), IBM refresh code level v1.0.1, IBM Lan Server/Requester,
  42. or IBM CM/2, please shutdown and reboot your system before installing the
  43. Query Manager Select Pak.

  45. This means you will have to reboot twice, once after the installation
  46. of these products to process any locked files, and a second time before
  47. using the Select Pak to process some remaining locked files.

  50. CID INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  53. For DB2/2 CID Select Pak install, please use the sample response file
  54. DB2FIX.RSP provided on diskette 1.  This file can be modified to fit your
  55. installation needs.
  56.  
  57. NOTE: The keywords found in DB2FIX.RSP are the ONLY supported CID keywords
  58. in this version of the CID install program.

  60. The Select Pak CID install program (DBFIXCID.EXE) uses the same syntax as the
  61. DB2/2 CID install program.  Refer to the DB2/2 Installation Guide for a
  62. description.

  64. For a description of the CID install key words, refer to Appendix B of the
  65. DB2/2 Installation Guide.  One keyword has been added to support the
  66. Select Pak install:
  67.  
  68. > DBReplace - replaces files on the target system if they have a later
  69.               date/time stamp than the ones shipped with the Select
  70.               Pak (1=YES 0=NO).
  71.  
  72. NOTE: The CID keyword DBUpdateType can only be equal to 1, which specifies
  73. to install the Select Pak.  No other values are supported.

  75. NOTE: If a certain component, say, Query Manager is not installed on
  76. a given system, specifying CID keyword DBInstallQueryManager=Y would have
  77. no effect.  It would just be ignored for that particular system and
  78. no Query Manager fixes would be installed.

  132. The following changes have been made as a direct result of customer feedback.

  134. The fixes contained in this Select Pak are fixes that have gone into the
  135. product since Service Pak WR07015 was shipped.

  138. APAR JR07499 - Directory Naming
  139.  
  140. Query Manager has been changed to allow a single period in directory names
  141. in places where OS/2 file names can be specified (e.g. TEMP.DIR).

  144. APAR JR07742 - Searching tables with Long Varchar
  145.  
  146. In some cases, when a PERFORM SEARCH was executed from Query Manager on
  147. tables with columns of type long varchar, a SYS3175 error was returned.
  148. The search will now execute correctly.
