  9. What These Diskettes Do
  10. -----------------------
  11. IBM ThinkPad OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 1 Update:
  12. -------------------------------------------------------
  13. The IBM ThinkPad OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 1 Update is a
  14. replacement of IBM OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 1.  This disk fixes
  15. the following problems.
  16.   - OS/2 Warp Version 4 cannot be installed on hard disks that have over
  17.     4.3GB capacity.
  18.   - When ThinkPad 600, 600E, 770, 770E, 770ED, 770X, or 770Z is docked
  19.     to SelectaDock III and an IDE device in SelectaDock III is assigned
  20.     to secondary IDE channel, the IDE device is not recognized.
  21.   - When ThinkPad 600, 600E, 770, 770E, 770ED, 770X, or 770Z is docked
  22.     to SelectaDock I/II, the system with OS/2 Warp Version 4 installed
  23.     stops in the middle of its start up.
  24.   - OS/2 Warp Version 4 cannot be installed on hard disks that have over
  25.     8.4GB capacity.
  26.   - When a certain type of DVD-ROM drive is installed, OS/2 Warp 4 takes
  27.     very long time to boot.

  29. IBM ThinkPad OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 2 Update:

  31. The IBM ThinkPad OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 2 Update is a
  32. replacement of IBM OS/2 Warp Version 4 Install Disk 2.  This disk fixes
  33. the following problem.
  34.   - OS/2 Warp V4 installation intermittently fails due to MOUSE$ error.

  90. OS/2 Warp Version 4 comes with three diskettes for installation. These
  91. update disks are replacements for "Disk 1" and "Disk 2".

  93.   1. Install OS/2 Warp Version 4 from the original Install Disk.
  94.   2. When you are prompted to insert Disk 1, use 'Install Disk1 Update'.
  95.   3. When you are prompted to insert Disk 2, use 'Install Disk2 Update'.
  96.   4. Continue installing OS/2 Warp Version 4.

  113. Determining which version is installed
  114. --------------------------------------
  115. These update diskettes replace the "Install Disk 1" and "Install Disk 2"
  116. that comes with the OS/2 Warp version 4 Package, and are to be used during
  117. installation. These diskettes are not to be used to update the installed
  118. OS/2 Warp version 4 components already on your system. Before starting
  119. the installation of OS/2 Warp Version 4 on your ThinkPad computer, refer
  120. to the supported model listing in the above section and confirm if your
  121. model of ThinkPad computer is listed there.
