Win Expand Ver 1.00 - November 1995
FREEWARE
Win Expand is a simple front-end for the DOS Program EXPAND.EXE.
Needs VBRUN300.DLL and THREED.VBX in your \Windows\System Directory.
These two files must be copied to your \Windows\System Directory.
VBRUN300.DLL is not supplied here to save download time and cost.
Before copying check your \Windows\System Directory to see if you
already have these files, if you have these files check the FILE
DATE of THREED.VBX is later than the one supplied here - if the
DATE is older than the one supplied, delete the old copy
THREED.VBX and copy the new one over.
Copy WNEXPAND.EXE, WNEXPAND.PIF and WNEXPAND.TXT to a Directory
of your choice.
The Files WNEXPAND.PIF and WNEXPAND.TXT are used by WNEXPAND.EXE
and must remain in the same Directory as WNEXPAND.EXE
Copy EXPAND.EXE to any Directory in your Path Statement.
Example:
If you have the file EXPAND.EXE on a Disk in your A: Drive
then type the following from a DOS Prompt:
copy a:\expand.exe c:\windows\command /v
"or"
copy a:\expand.exe c:\dos /v
Once you are up and running Win Expand is simple to use:
1. Select Source Drive and Directory.
2. Click Once on the Filename you wish to expand.
Example: WRITE.EX_
3. Select Target Drive and Directory.
4. In the Target Filename Text Box change the Compression Symbol
to the appropriate letter.
Example: WRITE.EX_ change to WRITE.EXE
5. When ready click on the EXPAND Button or press ALT+E
6. That's it Folks.
