Note: There seems to be a problem with regex.c 0.12 in
the DOS version. I have included both the 'old' version
0.4 and version 0.12. If you have a problem with the
DOS version locking up during checkin, try version 0.4.
If you locate the problem (before I do) please notify me.
As the official release 1.4 is still in alpha, so is this
port.
This version of CVS 1.4 has been adjusted to compile and run
under OS/2 2.x and DOS. It supports the FAT file system as
well as the HPFS. There are make files for both gcc/emx,
being Makefile.emx, and Borland C++ 3.x, being Makefile.bor.
If you compile using Borland C make sure you use config.dos
for config.h.
Note: mkmodules has not (yet) been ported. Therefore, ndbm
functionality is not available. A small performance price
to pay.
In order to run CVS you need at least RCS version 5 or higher,
a version of diff and merge, and to format the man pages,
nroff or similar. I use cawf.
The OS/2 versions of these can be found on ftp-os2.cdrom.com.
The DOS versions can be found on simtel20 or one of it's
mirrors.
Have fun,
