  7.     THE SERVICE FIX THAT FOLLOWS, INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE

  10.     - YOU MUST BE, AND YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE, A PRIOR LICENSEE OF OS/2
  11.       VERSION 2.11 AND ABOVE
  12.     - YOU MAY MAKE COPIES OF THE OS/2 VERSION 2.11 AND ABOVE SERVICE FIX
  13.       EQUAL TO THE NUMBER OF LICENSED COPIES OF OS/2 VERSION 2.11 AND

  21. DISKETTE CREATION NOTES
  22. -----------------------
  23. 1) To create a diskette from the disk image file you need LOADDSKF.EXE.
  24.    This is also available from the same place you got this FixPak from
  25.    as
  26.  
  27.    LDF.COM - Self extracting file that will create LOADDSKF.EXE.
  28.              Place in a separate directory on your harddisk then
  29.              enter LDF.
  30.

  33.    LOADDSKF.ZIP - File compressed with PKZIP, contains LOADDSKF.EXE.
  34.                   Requires PKUNZIP or UNZIP to extract original files
  35.                   from compressed file.

  37.    Use LOADDSKF.EXE to create a diskette. Insert a 2MB HD (1.44MB formatted)
  38.    diskette in A:
  39.  
  40.    a. Enter LOADDSKF XR0Px10.DSK A: /F/Q/Y
  41.        Where C=A, B, C, etc.
  42.        Label OS/2 Printer FixPak XR0Px10

  44. ENHANCED PRINTER DRIVER FIXPAK NAMING CONVENTION
  45. ------------------------------------------------
  46. So that customers can more readily identify if a new printer FixPak is
  47. available, an enhancement has been made to the naming convention for printer
  48. FixPaks.  Instead of the normal naming convention of XR0P0nn, XR0PAnn will
  49. be used for the printer FixPak name.   Subsequent printer FixPak releases
  50. will sequentially update the fifth value in the name to allow customers to
  51. differentiate between the different levels of FixPaks.

  69. Please see the README2 file for a list of APARs
  70. fixed in this FixPak.

  72. TO INSTALL THIS FIX PERFORM THE FOLLOWING STEPS :
  73. -----------------------------------------------
  74. Use these printer drivers as you would your original printer driver
  75. diskettes that were shipped with OS/2.
  76.  
  77.  - Unpack printer driver with LOADDSKF to a directory on your system or
  78.    to a diskette
  79.  - Open the printer object(s) and deselect all drivers you have
  80.    acquired this fix for and select another driver file as default.
  81.  - Close the printer object.
  82.  - Reboot the system without letting any print jobs print.
  83.  - Open the printer object settings and printer driver and select
  84.    install from one of the driver objects.
  85.  - The "Install New Printer Driver" dialog will appear.
  86.  - Select "Other OS/2 Printer Driver" and enter the drive and/or
  87.    directory that you have put the driver files into for the install.
  88.  - Press Install button and a message box will appear asking if you
  89.    would like to replace the driver with the new level and select yes.
  90.  - Close the "Install New Printer Driver" dialog and select the correct
  91.    driver for the print object
  92.  - Close print object.
  93.  
  94. You will now be ready to print using the driver.  If you need additional
  95. help installing the printer driver, please refer to the on-line help
  96. facility.

  100. If you are in a network environment, we suggest that you match printer
  101. driver levels between both the server and the requestors.
