  4.   3COM(R) END USER SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT

  7.   YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS 
  8.   BEFORE OPENING OR USING THIS PRODUCT.  IT CONTAINS SOFTWARE, THE 
  9.   USE OF WHICH IS LICENSED BY 3COM TO ITS CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR USE 
  10.   ONLY AS SET FORTH BELOW.  OPENING THIS PACKAGE OR USING ANY PART OF 
  11.   THE SOFTWARE INDICATES THAT YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS.  IF YOU DO NOT 
  12.   AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT, RETURN THIS 
  13.   ENTIRE PACKAGE UNOPENED OR WITH THE SOFTWARE UNUSED TO 3COM OR 
  14.   THE LOCATION WHERE YOU OBTAINED IT.

  17.   LICENSE:  3Com grants you a nonexclusive license to use the accompanying 
  18.   software program(s) (the "Software") subject to the terms and 
  19.   restrictions set forth in this License Agreement.  Except as provided 
  20.   below, this License Agreement does not grant you any rights to patents, 
  21.   copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, or any other rights in respect to 
  22.   the Software.

  24.   The Software is licensed to be used on any workstation or any network 
  25.   owned or leased by you, provided that the Software is used only in 
  26.   connection with a 3Com adapter.  You may make only those number of 
  27.   backup and archive copies of the Software and supporting documentation 
  28.   as essential to backup use of the Software as provided hereunder.  [You 
  29.   may not reproduce the supporting documentation accompanying the 
  30.   Software.]  You must reproduce and include the copyright notice(s) and 
  31.   any other proprietary rights notices appearing on the Software on any 
  32.   copy that you make.

  34.   ASSIGNMENT; NO REVERSE ENGINEERING:  You may transfer the Software and 
  35.   license to another party in the same country in which you obtained the 
  36.   Software if the other party agrees in writing to accept the terms and 
  37.   conditions of this License Agreement.  If you transfer the Software, you 
  38.   must at the same time either transfer any copies of the Software as well 
  39.   as the supporting documentation to the same party or destroy any such 
  40.   materials not transferred.  Except as set forth above, you may not 
  41.   assign your rights under this License Agreement.

  43.   Modification, reverse engineering, reverse compiling, or disassembly of 
  44.   the Software is expressly prohibited.  However, if you are a European 
  45.   Community ("EC") resident, information necessary to achieve 
  46.   interoperability of the Software with other programs within the meaning 
  47.   of the U.K. Copyright [Computer Program] Regulations 1992 implementing 
  48.   the EC Directive on the Legal Protection of Computer Programs is 
  49.   available to you from 3Com upon written request.

  51.   EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:  You agree that you will not export or re-export 
  52.   the Software or accompanying documentation (or any copies thereof) or 
  53.   any products utilizing the Software or such documentation in violation 
  54.   of any applicable laws or regulations of the United States or the 
  55.   country in which you obtained them.

  57.   TRADE SECRETS; TITLE:  You acknowledge and agree that the structure, 
  58.   sequence and organization of the Software are the valuable trade secrets 
  59.   of 3Com and its suppliers.  You agree to hold such trade secrets in 
  60.   confidence.  You further acknowledge and agree that 3Com and its 
  61.   suppliers retain title to the Software recorded on the original media 
  62.   and all subsequent copies regardless of the form or media.
