Installation instructions
create a c:\util directory and place these files in it.
SDIR.CMD
TDIR.CMD
DTEMPS.CMD
DPURGE.EXP
DPURGE.CMD Will be created after running DTEMPS.CMD
SDIR Is a command which shows the file space and number of files in all the child directories under the present.
TDIR Is a command which shows the file space and number of files in all the dependants under the present.
dtemps Is your helpful garbage collector you put the file specs of the files you want deleted
in dpurge.dat in the and then run. NOTE I AM GIVING YOU MY DPURGE.DAT named as DPURGE.EXP!
as an example and an empty DPURGE.DAT.
If you are going to use these programs in a Netware environment you need to get the fix
R210FT.EXE from Compuserve in NOVFILES.
Dtemps & Dpurge
I have created to icons one for Dtemps I start it up minimized so it runs in the background
the second one I created is for Dpurge. After you have become comfortable with what the are
doing you just need to click on two icons, one to create the file and the second to delete
them.
EXAMPLES for dpurge.dat
C:\*.TMP
i:\data\transfer\*.*
o:\pdq?.log
j:\comps\$t*.
.
.
.
no limit
SDIR & TDIR
These two programs I usally run them and redirect them to a file and then parse then in a
spreadsheet program then you may sort them.
example
C:\]SDIR > DRIVEC.TMP <ENTER>
