  1. In order to better support SQL/DS users, Watcom is now making available 
  2. a beta version its MAKEVIEW utility.  MAKEVIEW creates DB2/2 compatible 
  3. views of system tables for SQL/DS databases.
  4.      
  5. If you connect to a SQL/DS system using the VX-REXX database objects, 
  6. the ListColumns and ListTables methods will not function correctly.
  7. Also, the VX-REXX SQL Editor will not list the tables or columns in 
  8. your database. The reason for this is that the VX-REXX database 
  9. controls assume the SQL/DS system tables are identical to those for 
  10. DB2/2, which is not the case.  The MAKEVIEW program creates a number 
  11. of database views that simulate the required system tables. After 
  12. running MAKEVIEW, the VX-REXX SQL Editor and the individual methods 
  13. listed above will function correctly.
