  1. LAN Distance CFMODEM Utility Fix
  2. ------------------------------------------------------------

  4. Note: This fix must be applied after either IP07050 or LD 1.11.
  5.  
  6. Disclaimer: This package contains fixes/enhancements that
  7. have been tested; however, testing was not as extensive as
  8. testing for an official CSD. Make sure that all updated
  9. files are backed up as stated in the instructions for
  10. installing the fix modules.
  11.  
  12.     (1) If LAN Distance has already been started on the workstation, then
  13.     shutdown the workstation and reboot without starting LAN Distance.
  14.  
  15.     (2) You should have the following new files:
  16.  
  17.          CFMODEM.EXE
  18.  
  19.     (3) Rename
  20.  
  21.      x:\WAL\CFMODEM.EXE to CFMODEM.OLD
  22.  
  23.     (4) Unzip CFMODEM.ZIP to x:\TEMP subdirectory
  24.  
  25.     (5) Copy the fix file from x:\TEMP subdirectory into the
  26.     x:\WAL directory
  27.  
  28.     (6) Shutdown all other applications and re-start your workstation.

  34. IC09059:  CFMODEM BUILD STRING NOTEBOOK, ON WARP, CANNOT BE EXITED
  35.  
  36.           Selecting the build string option of CFMODEM on warp causes 
  37.           the following: notebook cannot be exited and task list      
  38.           will not come up. The machine has to be rebooted to recover.
