  5. West Hartford Ct, Client Server Networking (CSN) recently announced                                                                 
  6. that WATCHIT PLUS is available for Beta testing.                                                                                    
  7.                                                                                                                                     
  8. WATCHIT PLUS is designed to provide more extensive server management for                                                            
  9. larger and more complex IBM LAN Server configurations than those                                                                    
  10. supported by WATCHIT.                                                                                                               
  11.                                                                                                                                     
  12. PLUS will not replace WATCHIT which will continue to remain the primary                                                             
  13. tool for single server management. WATCHIT PLUS will provide the                                                                    
  14. ability to monitor all the servers in the domain.                                                                                   
  15.                                                                                                                                     
  16. During the data collection process the LAN administrator may select                                                                 
  17. to display continually updated graphs of Mean Response; Shares in use;                                                              
  18. Sessions; Traffic Received; Traffic Sent and a display of Current                                                                   
  19. Sessions and Current Shares in use.                                                                                                 
  20.                                                                                                                                     
  21. Detailed analysis of the data is still intended to occur after the                                                                  
  22. collection period. PLUS analysis features include graphs of 14                                                                      
  23. significant LAN Server characteristics and  resource usage levels                                                                   
  24. compared to the operational IBMLAN.INI control file. A display of                                                                   
  25. each sample provides sixteen items of detail for the collection period.                                                             
  26. Additional analysis provides session connections; file opens by user                                                                
  27. and Alias by usage. PLUS also provides detail reports and graphs for                                                                
  28. future reference.
