  30. It is an advanced, yet easy-to-use office tool that gives you
  31. the ability to scan, view, organize, and print memos, reports
  32. and other key documents that are crucial to the success of your
  33. business. You get absolute control over the way your documents
  34. are organized, and UniteLite's powerful search and retrieval
  35. capabilities provide easy access to the documents you need when
  36. you need them.

  38. Even a novice can begin using UniteLite almost immediately
  39. because its three basic icons represent things you already know
  40. how to use: a file cabinet, a folder and a document.

  42. UniteLite is designed to take advantage of all the advanced
  43. features of the OS/2 Workplace Shell, such as:

  45. -context-sensitive searching;
  46. -file associations, and;
  47. -drag-and-drop functions.

  49. What this means to you is that never before has there been such
  50. an easy-to-use imaging system. UniteLite is also compatible with
  51. OS/2 Warp, Version 3.

  53. HOW DOES IT WORK?
  54.  
  55. When UniteLite is first installed, a file cabinet icon appears
  56. in the UniteLite folder on your desktop. Opening up
  57. (double-clicking on) the file cabinet reveals two more icons: a
  58. folder template and a document template.

  60. To create a new folder, simply drag the folder template icon to
  61. an open space in the file cabinet window, and drop. The original
  62. template icon stays in place, but where you've
  63. dragged-and-dropped a new folder appears. Name the folder and
  64. you're done! File cabinets work the same way. You can create as
  65. many file cabinets and folders as you like, and you can store
  66. them anywhere on your PC! You may also create folders within
  67. folders, to any depth you wish.

  69. DOCUMENT INPUT
  70.  
  71. Creating documents is just like creating folders, a simple
  72. drag-and-drop. Once you create your document, a Unite Image
  73. Viewer window appears when you double click. This is UniteLite's
  74. powerful document and image control center. You can name your
  75. document, as well as enter data that will be important to
  76. retrieval later.  This is also where you import, scan, view and
  77. manipulate images in a variety of ways.

  79. You can import and export a variety of popular file formats
  80. including FaxWorks, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, TGA, BMP and PPM. You can
  81. add sticky notes to documents. You can also specify that the
  82. icon which represents your document appear as a thumbnail image
  83. of the document.  OS/2 system clipboard cut and paste is
  84. supported which makes transferring data between your OS/2 and
  85. Windows applications a snap.

  87. UniteLite can be used with your Fujitsu or HP ScanJet scanner.
  88. You can scan a portion of a page, a full page or many pages (or
  89. any combination) into one document. You can also combine
  90. full-color images with black-and-white text pages.

  92. As the pages are scanned, the scanned image appears on your
  93. screen.  This gives you an opportunity to adjust resolution,
  94. contrast and many other settings to make sure you get the kind
  95. of image you want.

  97. FINDERS, KEEPERS

  99. Once the document is saved it is instantly accessible in a
  100. number of different ways. You can search all the file cabinets
  101. on your PC, or you can look in a particular file cabinet or
  102. folder.

  104. A GREAT VIEW

  106. A great filing system deserves great viewing and output.
  107. UniteLite delivers.  Its image viewer gives you the capability
  108. to pan, zoom, scroll, scale, invert and rotate your image. And,
  109. when you're finished, you can print your file or export it to
  110. any of a number of formats including one compatible with leading
  111. OS/2 fax software.
