  17.      Amdox Corporation is delighted to announce the general availability of
  18. the DOS version release of:

  20.           Recon(tm) version 2.20
  21.  
  22.      Recon is an ASP(R) shareware CompuServe(R) format message file manager,
  23. and Recon 2.20 will be available for trial shareware download on a number of
  24. forums on CompuServe starting this week, and through the usual ASP channels
  25. on BBS' and by disk vendors starting in July and August.
  26.  
  27.      Recon 2.20 is a signficant upgrade in features and power, but still
  28. remains within the comfortable Recon 2.01 "framework".  Many of the most
  29. asked for enhancement requests have now been attended to, some of the
  30. highlights follow.

  33.  New STICKY Message Status Flags

  35.      Recon 2.20 now retains status flags across file loads/saves, and will
  36. remind you of "UNREAD" or "NEEDS REPLY" message status.  These are set and
  37. removed for you *automatically*.  You will quickly find them indispensible.

  60.      The message text or the auto-signatures can include a set of
  61. "metavariables" (eg. $DATE$) that are expanded as Recon 2.20 posts your

  67.      Recon 2.20 boasts more efficient, and yet faster file loads.  Some

  85. ZNT:UtilFor, as well as through regular ASP channels on BBS' and disk

  93.      As something EXTRA - all those registering or upgrading to version 2.20 
  94. will be eligible for a "shipping cost only" upgrade to version 3.0 when it is 
  95. released.

  102.      If you're sold already then you can direct order a pre-registered new 
  103. copy or an upgrade copy of Recon 2.20, the CompuServe message file manager 
  104. program.

  106.      You will be shipped by AIR MAIL a pre-registered copy of Recon 2.20 on 
  107. 3-1/2" diskettes (or 5-1/4" on request), complete with a 136pg, 7"x9", laser 
  108. typeset and perfect bound version 2 MANUAL, a version 2.20 upgrade BOOKLET, 
  109. and two or more BONUS standalone utilities.  For upgrade orders the version 2 
  110. manual is not shipped, as you already have it.

  113.      If you have not previously registered, the cost is $45 US (38 + 7 s/h), 
  114. to upgrade from version 2.0x the cost is $19 US (12 + 7 s/h).  For orders 
  115. from outside USA & Canada add $5 US for additional shipping.
