  4. The Graham Utilities for OS/2 are the largest, most comprehensive suite of
  5. disk, file and general utilities specifically written for the OS/2 operating
  6. system. The suite consists of 52 separate programs and modules. The manual
  7. has been re-edited and expanded to 324 pages. The complete printed manual is
  8. also included on-line as an .INF file for easy access.
  9.  
  10. This release offers significant changes and enhancements over previous
  11. versions. The new features include:
  12.  
  13.     - Multiple language support. The utilities fully support translation
  14.           into any European (CBCS) language.
  15.           English and German versions are currently available.
  16.  
  17.     - Full Lan Server V4 HPFS386 support.
  18.  
  19.     - Full support for HPFS versions 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4.
  20.  
  21.     - System Diagnostics utility. Test and report on your system
  22.           configuration, parallel and serial ports, video subsystem, floppy
  23.           disk, hard disk and keyboard.
  24.  
  25.     - Complete HPFS support. A new disk editor module has been provided
  26.           which enables ALL HPFS disk structures to be edited in their native
  27.           format. All of the HPFS disk structures are documented.
  28.  
  29.     - Crash recovery support. All of the partition tables, boot sectors,
  30.           super blocks and spare blocks of all logical disks are saved to a
  31.           crash recovery disk. They may be selectively written back to the
  32.           disk in the event of a crash.
  33.  
  34.     - A program to manipulate the status of HPFS partitions. A partition
  35.           may be set to clean or dirty. If the partition was dirty and has
  36.           been cleaned, it may be optionally remounted so that it may be
  37.           accessed, thus saving a reboot.
  38.  
  39.     - A HPFS specific program which wipes all free space on a partition.
  40.  
  41. In addition, this release adds to the already strong suite which provides the

  46.     - Report disk information.
  47.  
  48.     - Test logical and physical disks.
  49.  
  50.     - Display and modify file attributes.

  52.     - Display and modify file dates.

  56.     - Edit and attach comments to files.
  57.  
  58.     - Display file sizes, including slack space.
  59.  
  60.     - Graphically display and change to directories.
  61.  
  62.     - Display directories.
  63.  
  64.     - Set screen text attributes.
  65.  
  66.     - Display time and date, including current stop watches.
  67.  
  68.     - Display and modify disk volume labels.
  69.  
  70.     - Count characters, words and lines of text files.
  71.  
  72.     - Automatically convert archives.
  73.  
  74.     - Play tune files or beep.
  75.  
  76.     - Edit both logical and physical disks, both local and remote.

  78.     - Bind extended attributes to files.

  80.     - Dump the extended attributes of files in both hexadecimal and ASCII.

  101.     - View the physical layout of files on HPFS disks.

  103.     - Wipe all of the sectors on a disk.

  105.     - Wipe the contents of a file.
  106.  
  107.     - List or graphically display disk space usage.
  108.  
  109.     - Calculate the checksums of files using several different methods.
  110.  
  111.     - Convert OS/2 text files to UNIX text files.

  113.     - Decode UU files.

  115.     - Encode UU files.

  117. The utilities also includes a system integration utility which presents a
  118. quick overview of each utility as well as the ability to view the complete
  119. on-line help for it.

  121. All of the disk accessing programs are also fully network enabled; giving
  122. you the ability to edit/view/defragment remote disk drives on other machines.
