Key Words : OS2 MICROSTATION DGN INTERGRAPH CAD VIEW REDLINE BYERS
Title : Announcement: Upgraded Byers View Station for OS/2 ver. 6.0
*****************ABSTRACT******************
Byers View Station for OS/2 is a CAD viewer designed specifically
for Intergraph Design (MicroStation and IGDS) 2-D graphics files.
Version 6.0 is a 32-bit, native OS/2 PM application. The software
allows users to easily view, redline (markup), and print without
having write access to the Design (DGN) file. The upgraded version
now supports the popular .CIT (Intergraph) raster file format in
true raster/vector hybrid mode. This is a niche product that is
very useful for those who need view, redline, and print access to
Design files outside of MicroStation.
*******************************************
Byers Engineering Company announces an upgrade release of View Station
for OS/2 version 6.0.
Version 6.0 is a native 32-bit enabled OS/2 Presentation Manager
application.
View Station for OS/2 version 6.0. is a native OS/2 application that
offers viewing, printing, and redlining of Intergraph (MicroStation
and IGDS)2-D graphics files. Version 6.0 has full support for
Intergraph's CIT raster file format.
The software is "read only" to the viewed design files. Users cannot
manipulate any existing MicroStation elements.
Requiring minimal training and setup, View Station was designed for
occasional or non-CAD users who need access to Intergraph Design (.DGN)
files.
It is ideal for design review, facilities management, planning, and
research/reporting applications. Many users are taking the application
into the field on notebooks or with Pen for OS/2.
View Station provides extensive compatibility with MicroStation features
by supporting display of all reference file transformations, special
element types, and color tables. View Station also provides the
ability to display associated dBaseIII records for MS-linked elements.
Users can choose from several redline tools to markup drawings without
affecting original design files. All redline symbology is fully
compatible with MicroStation and can be used in that environment
without modification.
Other features include level and weight display options, changeable
redline symbology, and distance/area measuring.
View Station supports all OS/2 supported output devices, including
laser printers, HPGL, and PostScript. Scaled printing is now supported.
Controls and settings are via notebook settings. The button bar is user
configurable.
The application can run locally or across the network. Many users are now
taking this application to the field using notebooks and Pen for OS/2.
For additional information or to order View Station, call Byers at
404-843-1003, ext. 330 or fax to Byers at 404-843-2000.
Pricing is from $495 quantity one to $295 quantity 21+.
