Upon selection of your product, you will receive a Manufacturing Distribution Agreement and Certificate of Originality, which you will be required to execute prior to distribution on the Developer Connection for OS/2. You will receive a preliminary copy of The Developer Connection for OS/2 to allow you to test your product prior to release.

And, because we live in changing times, an annual subscription to the Developer Connection for OS/2 keeps your tools and information from becoming obsolete. Each year you'll receive 4 volumes including CDs and The Developer Connection News, each packed with the tools and information you need for your OS/2 development efforts.
When accessed from your CD drive, The Developer Connection for OS/2 becomes a part of your Workplace Shell environment. Click on The Developer Connection icon, and all the wealth of the Developer Connection for OS/2 is instantly attainable. Use the powerful Developer Connection Browser to locate any piece of information. And because the intuitive graphical user interface is a part of the Workplace Shell environment, each task is familiar and simple. Try the products, install them, or simply retrieve product information. There is also an available option for creating diskettes for many of the products on the CD.

Each CD will contain product level versions of the Developer's Toolkit for OS/2, OS/2 Warp Version 3, OS/2 for SMP, Pen for OS/2, LAN Systems, and Multimedia Presentation Manager.
The Developer Connection program will continue to grow to support emerging technologies. Subscribers also receive The Developer Connection for LAN Systems, a cross-platform offering that supports the installation of products and information to OS/2, Windows, DOS, and AIX workstations. The Developer Connection for OS/2 provides high quality development tools for the production of applications and device drivers for OS/2. Toward that end we seek to provide our subscribers with: compilers, tools, utilities, debuggers, test tools, sample programs, documentation and other items of technical interest to the OS/2 development community.
CONDITIONS FOR PRODUCT CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The product submitted should be a native OS/2 program of interest to OS/2 application or device driver developers. We would prefer that it be a 32-bit executable, but will accept useful 16-bit applications as well. OS/2 Warp compatibility is prefered. Note: You should be aware that 16-bit executables will not directly port to OS/2 for the PowerPC, so think about migrating to 32-bit as soon as it is practical for you.
2. This form must be signed by a corporate officer or a person with legal signature authority for your company.
3. The product submitted should have appropriate management clearance that it does not contain or reference "Confidential Information" or Internal Use Only material
4. The product submitted, its documentation, and source code may not contain any material that may be considered offensive. This includes profanity, racial slurs, or other derogatory commentary.
5. The README file(s) for your product should not reference specific categories, directories, or volumes on The Developer Connection for OS2. These placements will be decided by the Developer Connection team in consultation with the Product Contact.
6. Documentation for the product should be provided in .INF format. Descriptive material for the Catalog should be provided in clear ASCII text.
7. The product should be installable from CD-ROM whenever possible. Diskette based installs will be considered on an individual product basis.
8. The product files and diskette image code must be ISO-9660 compliant:
- filenames are in 8.3 format and contain only alphanumeric characters and '_'
- no extended attributes
- no extensions in directory names
- directories nested no more than 7 deep
9. The product should provide an "icon" to represent it in the catalog, If not we will provide a generic icon.
10. If the product has a timeout it should be set to a number of days relative to the installation date. Do not hardcode a timeout date into the product.
11. You must be willing to provide support on the Developer Connection section of the OS2DF2 CompuServe Forum, or Internet or BBS.
TRANSMITTAL PROCESS:
1. A copy of the product being submitted must accompany this evaluation form.
2. For initial product evaluation return this signed form and acompaning software
by: 4/15/95 for inclusion in Volume Eight or 7/15/95 for inclusion in Volume Nine
3. A separate evaluation form should be included for each product being submitted.
4. The product must be submitted on CD, diskette, or as a package file in PKZIP or SAVERAM2 format. Please use the option to capture directory structure, as part of the package file you submit.
FUTURE UPDATE CONSIDERATIONS:
When a product is updated with a VERSION change, a new evaluation form WILL NOT BE REQUIRED UNLESS the Content Provider feels that information should be added, changed, or updated from the current evaluation form. This is at the discretion of the Content Provider. Unless Content Provider submits an updated evaluation form, the only information that will change on The Developer Connection for OS/2 will be the version number.

License Agreement for The Developer Connection for OS/2 CD
THIS IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU (THE END USER) AND THE IBM CORPORATION. BEFORE OPENING THE CD ROM PACKAGE, YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. OPENING THE PACKAGE INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, PROMPTLY RETURN THE UNOPENED PACKAGE TO THE IBM CORPORATION.
IBM LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPER CONNECTION CD FOR OS/2* VOLUME SIX
(The Developer Connection CD for OS/2 Volume Six, including all products contained therein, are hereinafter referred to as "The Developer Connection CD")
GRANT OF LICENSE. Subject to the terms of this Agreement, IBM grants to you the non-transferable right to use one copy of The Developer Connection CD (which includes object code, sample source code, publications and documentation contained on the CD-ROM(s)) on only one machine at any one time. The following products contained on The Developer Connection CD may be used solely for evaluation purposes: OpenDoc** for OS/2 Libraries, DOCSHELL executables, OpenDoc for OS/2 Sample Source Code, OpenDoc for OS/2 C++ Headers, OpenDoc for OS/2 IDL files, OS/2 Warp Version 3 with WIN-OS/2 pre-release, BonusPak pre-release and associated documentation. The following products contained on The Developer Connection CD may be used solely for demonstration purposes: COMscope and COMi, Golden CommPass, Personal Addressbook/2 Light, Gpf Professional Developer's Toolkit, APL/2 for OS/2, DataFlex, The Object Factory, GpfRexx, IPF Editor, LXOPT, High C/C++, PM Debug, REXXLIB, Softbridge Basic Language, SizeIt, The SOM Class Administrator, The Integrated Reasoning Shell Development/2, VisualAge for OS/2, VisPro/REXX, VX-REXX Client/Server Edition, Boxer Text Editor, Compuware PREDITOR/2, RimStar Programmer's Editor, SlickEdit, Digital Music Player, MultiMedia Presentation Manager/2 1.1.3, BOCASoft System Sounds, BOCASoft WipeOut, FormTalk for OS/2, Translation Manager/2, VisualGen Applause, ATS for OS/2, Central Point Anti Virus for OS/2, Desktop Observatory, ReDiscovery/2, Search Manager/2, Software Manager MVS/ESA, SpaceMap for OS/2, Workplace Companion. You may not copy, modify or merge copies of The Developer Connection CD except as this Agreement provides. You may not reverse compile, reverse engineer or reverse assemble any products in The Developer Connection CD provided in object code form. Except as provided in this Agreement you may not rent, lease, sell, sublicense, assign or otherwise transfer The Developer Connection CD.
All OpenDoc for OS/2 materials are pre-release materials.
In addition to the rights granted above, you may copy, modify and distribute the sample source code (excluding the OpenDoc for OS/2 Sample Source Code) contained on The Developer Connection CD without payment to IBM, for purposes of developing, using, marketing and distributing application programs written to the OS/2 application programming interface. Each copy of any portion of sample source code or any derivative work, which is distributed to others, must include a copyright notice as follows: c Copyright (your company name) (year). All rights reserved.
IBM also grants you the limited right to use the IBM Library Reader/2 program solely for the purpose of reading those publications contained on The Developer Connection CD. You may not use the IBM Library Reader/2 program to read a softcopy book not included on The Developer Connection CD.
COPYRIGHT. The Developer Connection CD is owned by IBM or its suppliers and is protected by United States copyright laws. In addition to the rights granted to the sample source code, you may also make one copy of The Developer Connection CD solely for backup or archival purposes.
TERM AND TERMINATION. Your license for The Developer Connection CD (excluding IBM Library Reader/2, IBM on-line publications, and sample source code, with the exception of the OpenDoc for OS/2 Sample Source Code) terminates 120 days after receipt of this issue of The Developer Connection CD or upon receipt of the next issue of The Developer Connection CD, whichever occurs sooner. Upon termination you agree to destroy all copies of The Developer Connection CD. You may terminate your license at any time prior to the above date by destroying all of your copies of The Developer Connection CD. Your license to the sample source code (excluding the OpenDoc for OS/2 Sample Source Code), IBM Library Reader/2 and IBM on-line publications shall survive termination of this license, if you have complied with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. IBM may terminate your license to any and/or all the products contained on The Developer Connection CD if you fail to comply with all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Your license to the OS/2 Warp Version 3 with WIN-OS/2 pre-release product terminates as stated above or 60 days after the product is made generally available, whichever occurs sooner.
Toolkits: If this is your final volume of The Developer Connection for OS/2 , and you have not renewed your subscription, you may continue to use the following toolkits beyond the expiration date as long as you abide by all other terms and conditions of this Agreement: The Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 2.1, Multimedia Presentation Manager Toolkit/2 1.1, Pen for OS/2 Developer's Toolkit 1.0, The Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 Warp Version 3.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY. The Developer Connection CD includes programs and documentation which contain pre-release code and may be modified substantially before general availability. These pre-release programs may not be at the level of performance or compatibility of generally available IBM products. IBM does not guarantee that any of the pre-release programs contained in The Developer Connection CD will ever be made generally available.
The Developer Connection CD is provided "AS-IS". IBM makes no warranties express or implied with respect to The Developer Connection CD including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of The Developer Connection CD remains with you.
In no event will IBM or its suppliers be liable for any lost profits, lost savings, incidental damages or other economic consequential damages, even if IBM, or its authorized supplier, has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In addition, IBM will not be liable for any damages claimed by you based on any third party claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, so the above provisions relating thereto may not apply to you.
If you use The Developer Connection CD in the United States, this license is governed by the substantive laws of the State of New York (excluding choice of law rules). If you use The Developer Connection CD in Canada, this license is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Otherwise, this license is governed by the laws of the country in which you use The Developer Connection CD.
