  13. Announcement: C.O.L Releases OS/2 Performance Monitor Technology

  15. C.O.L.  Systems Inc.  announces the April 1st, 1995 availability of
  16. a new OS/2 performance monitoring system: Osrm2(tm) Lite Performance
  17. Monitoring System Version 3.0 including the Multi-User Performance
  18. Interface (MUPI) technology.

  21. monitoring standards for OS/2." says Frank V. Castellucci, president
  22. of C.O.L.  Systems Inc.  "With a lower price, a friendly and
  23. informative presentation, expanded data collection to now include
  24. OS/2 2.x, OS/2 Warp, OS/2 SMP, IBM Lan Server, and HPFS386 from one
  25. software package, the ability to support any number of data
  26. collection programs with our Multi-User Performance Interface (MUPI)
  27. technology, and enhanced OS/2 REXX extension for reporting we are
  28. providing the most robust and cost effective OS/2 performance
  29. monitoring software in the industry."

  31. Osrm2(tm) Lite is a single machine version of C.O.L.  Systems Inc.
  32. performance management software line, which includes the Osrm2
  33. Performance and Capacity Management System for local area networks,
  34. and was originally developed and enhanced since 1989.

  36. The Osrm2(tm) Lite Version 3.0 product comes bundled the Osrm2 Lite
  37. Monitor for general system and application resource usage displays,
  38. data logging, and exception alerts, three additional trace and
  39. collect utilities for detailed cache, thread, file, memory and
  40. paging analysis, and a OS/2 REXX extension to create post processing
  41. reports from collected data files.

  43. Each component of the Osrm2(tm) Lite system work through the newly
  44. developed Multi-User Performance Interface (MUPI) technology which
  45. communicates directly with the OS/2 kernel to get accurate
  46. measurements of resource usage.  "Osrm2 Lite is the only system
  47. which supports multiple concurrent monitoring capability from
  48. different programs and is in direct response to user requests."
  49. Castellucci continues, "Previous systems would only allow one
  50. program to run at a time, a limitation still found in other kernel
  51. level OS/2 monitors."

  53. Osrm2(tm) Lite Performance Monitoring System Version 3.0, which is certified 
  54. OS/2 and OS/2 LAN Ready, will list at $89.00 US and be made available 
  55. through popular OS/2 resellers and Pete Norloffs OS/2 BBS. Upgrade 
  56. incentives from the C.O.L. Systems Inc. Pegasus Resource Monitor will be 
  57. made available through place of purchase.
