  1. IBM ANNOUNCES VERSION 1.03 OF IBM ANTIVIRUS/DOS AND IBM ANTIVIRUS/2

  5. IBM AntiVirus Services today announced version 1.03 of IBM
  6. AntiVirus/DOS and IBM AntiVirus/2.  These new products provide
  7. added features and enhancements to the already successful antivirus
  8. software developed at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center.
  9.  
  10. Last November, IBM AntiVirus Services stunned the competition by
  11. releasing their full-function, install-and-forget automatic protection
  12. against computer viruses for an unprecedented $29.95 through single-
  13. source-direct-sales.  AntiVirus Services turned up the heat even
  14. further by offering enterprise licenses that substantially lower
  15. the per-machine-cost by bundling services with right-to-copy
  16. agreements and expanded versions of the products.

  18. IBM AntiVirus version 1.03 features include:
  19. o   Automatic installation routine.
  20. o   Graphical User Interface (GUI) on DOS, Windows, and OS/2.
  21. o   Automatic scanning of memory and hard disks.
  22. o   Automatic scanning of diskettes for boot viruses when
  23.     accessed or C+A+D/Shutdown.
  24. o   Industry-leading technology in virus detection and removal.
