  5.    This Customer course introduces the LAN environment using OS/2 LAN
  6.    servers 2.0 and 3.0 and related products.  It imparts the fundamental
  7.    information and skills necessary to administer servers and requesters.
  8.    Basic LAN concepts, terminology, hardware, and software are discussed.
  9.  
  10.    After completing this course, the student will be able to:
  11.     -   Define BASIC LAN concepts and terminology
  12.     -   Manage users and groups
  13.     -   Define and share LAN resources
  14.     -   Provide basic shared applications
  15.     -   Support DOS LAN requesters and OS/2 LAN requesters
  16.     -   Implement LAN security measures
  17.     -   Perform basic backup and recovery procedures
  18.  
  19.    Prerequisites:  Before taking this course, you should be familiar with
  20.    the navigational skills necessary to operate an OS/2 2.0 workstation.

  22.    This course is intended for personnel with little or no LAN
  23.    experience who have been given the responsibility for the daily
  24.    operations of OS/2 LAN Servers.  The more complex planning an
  25.    support of the LAN Server domains is provided by others within
  26.    the student's organization.
