OS/2 LAN SERVICES: BASIC LAN ADMIN. WRKSHP - HOUSTON, FEB 17-19

This Customer course introduces the LAN environment using OS/2 LAN
servers 2.0 and 3.0 and related products. It imparts the fundamental
information and skills necessary to administer servers and requesters.
Basic LAN concepts, terminology, hardware, and software are discussed.
After completing this course, the student will be able to:
- Define BASIC LAN concepts and terminology
- Manage users and groups
- Define and share LAN resources
- Provide basic shared applications
- Support DOS LAN requesters and OS/2 LAN requesters
- Implement LAN security measures
- Perform basic backup and recovery procedures
Prerequisites: Before taking this course, you should be familiar with
the navigational skills necessary to operate an OS/2 2.0 workstation.
This course is intended for personnel with little or no LAN
experience who have been given the responsibility for the daily
operations of OS/2 LAN Servers. The more complex planning an
support of the LAN Server domains is provided by others within
the student's organization.
