  6. OVERVIEW
  7.  
  8. IBM is initiating a Beta program for future versions of
  9. their LAN Systems products.  The software is being made
  10. available solely for the purpose of testing and develop-
  11. ment feedback and should NOT be used in production.
  12.  
  13. The following product is now available through the
  14. Beta program:
  15.  
  16. *   OS/2 SPM/2 2.0
  17.  
  18.  
  19. SPM/2 2.0 is an integrated package of powerful facilities
  20. that allow you to monitor resources such as CPU, RAM, disk
  21. and more on your local and remote IBM Operating System/2
  22. 2.0. SPM/2's ability to graph this resource information
  23. allows you to look at "live" data as well as "prerecorded"
  24. data for any monitored workstation in your LAN.

  27. *   Collects critical resource utilization data: CPU,
  28.     memory, swap file, files, FAT/HPFS cache, physical
  29.     disk, printer, communication port
  30.  
  31. *   Records performance data to disk for processing at
  32.     a later time
  33.  
  34. *   Collects data from multiple nodes in a single
  35.     recording session
  36.  
  37. *   Provides a real-time graphical representation of how
  38.     system resources are being used (CPU, disk, RAM and
  39.     swap activity) as well as the ability to playback
  40.     previously recorded data.
  41.  
  42. *   Produces detailed resource utilization reports
  43.     (from recorded data) that can be summarized by
  44.     workstation, application, process or thread
  45.  
  46. *   Provides in-depth OS/2 2.0 memory analysis information
  47.     (including working set and a view of OS/2 control
  48.     blocks)
  49.  
  50. *   Monitoring of remote OS/2 LAN Requester as well as
  51.     Servers

  54. ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

  56. To obtain a Beta version of SPM/2 2.0, do one of
  57. the following:

  59. *   In the U.S., call 1-800-IBM-3040 - You will be charged
  60.     $30 for reproduction and distribution costs.
  61.  
  62. *   Outside the U.S., contact your IBM Marketing
  63.     Representative.

  68. products will be provided by IBM on a "best effort" basis.
  69. Customers can use either CompuServe* or the OS/2 Bulletin
