IOMEGA'S NEW BERNOULLI 90MB DRIVE OFFERS TWICE THE CAPACITY AT
TWO-THIRDS THE PRICE OF PREVIOUS BERNOULLI DRIVES

 Roy, Utah, July 15, 1991 -- Iomega Corporation today announced a new
Bernoulli disk drive with twice the capacity (90MB), 30 percent higher
performance and two-thirds the price of previous models.  The PC, laptop
and Macintosh products also include Central Point Backup and caching
software, free.  With the cashing software, effective access time is
reduced from 19 milliseconds (msec) to 13 msec.  And, with the Central
Point software backup capacity is doubled to 180 megabytes (MB).
 Iomega offers a family of single and dual Bernoulli systems for
IBM-compatible PCs (DOS, including 5.0, Windows and OS/2 for ISA, EISA,
MCA and laptop computers), Macintosh computers and UNIX workstations as
well as OEM drives.
 "New higher-performance computers and workstations are giving rise to
a new generation of data-intensive applications", said Fred Wenninger,
president and CEO of Iomega.  "To these users, nothing is more
frustrating than getting an error saying their disk is full.  The
Bernoulli 90 eliminates this common frustration by providing unlimited
storage in 90MB increments."

                   Performance Enhancements

 Iomega is the first company to offer a high-performance removable
disk drive with metal particle media and metal-in-gap heads.  This
provides much higher linear density than earlier technologies
resulting in higher disk capacity.
 The Bernoulli 90 drive achieves lower access time than previous models
through a combination of higher rotational speed and a high-performance
head actuator system.
 The Bernoulli 90 drive features a 32K on-drive cache memory to fully
exploit the increased access speed and transfer rates of the new drives.
Using industry recognized tests the drive delivers 30 percent higher
performance than previous models, this includes transfer rates up to
20 Mbits/sec.

              Simpler Maintenance, Increased Ruggedness

 Removable drives are exposed to dust, smoke and other contamination.
The Bernoulli 90 uses a new automatic head cleaning feature eliminating
the need for users to periodically clean the drive.  This results in
longer life and higher reliability.
 With an estimated life of 60,000 hours, mean time between failure
(more than 20 years of eight-hour days), the Bernoulli 90 drive is one
of the industry's most reliable data storage products.  The new
product line uses patented Bernoulli Technology, where a flexible disk
is spun at high speed, drawing it near the read/write head.  If there
is a shock, dust particle or power loss, the media simply falls away
from the head.  This results in hard disk performance and removable
low-cost media without the risk of head crash.
 The technology also makes Bernoulli disks rugged enough to withstand
more than 1000Gs of shock.  Bernoulli Gold Standard Disks carry a
five-year limited warranty.

                           Compatibility

 Even though the Bernoulli 90 drive features a new high-capacity
metal particle media, the drive is able to read Bernoulli 44 disks.
This compatibility allows current users to retain their investment
in disks.
 Each Bernoulli 90 external subsystem contains dual SCSI-II (Small
Computer Systems Interface) ports, which allow chaining of Bernoulli
drives and other peripherals for maximum flexibility.
 The SCSI-II interface provides a faster data transfer rate than
SCSI-I, yet is backward compatible with SCSI-I devices.  Iomega offers a
complete family of interface kits for PCs, PS/2, Macintosh and UNIX
computers.  And, because of Iomega's "Universal" concept the same
subsystems can be used for all of these computers.

                       New Workstation Models

 For the first time, Iomega also has introduced removable disk storage
systems for workstaions.  The Bernoulli 90 Workstation Transportable
and Dual systems are available now with Iomega's WorkStation Interface
kit for Sun SPARCstations.

                     Pricing and Availability

 The Bernoulli 90 model is available in four configurations:  the
Partner and Insider 5 1/4-inch half-height drives and kits for
internal installation. The Transportable single external drive with a
small footprint for the office, and portable design for computing on
the move.  And, the Dual system with two drives in one case for power
users needing the extra storage and convenience.
 All Bernoulli 90 models are available now.  The suggested retail
prices of the different configurations are:

 These prices include a free 90MB Gold Standard Bernoulli disk.
This disk includes extensive shareware, demos and libraries of fonts
and clip-art.  The disk is provided to users returning their warranty
