WHAT'S NEW? {OS/2* LAN Services: Advanced Administration Workshop
-G4560}will be taught at locations around the country. A
detailed schedule for May and June is provided below.
ABOUT THE This{lecture/lab}course refines basic skills learned in
COURSE: the prerequisite course (OS/2 LAN Services: Basic LAN
Administration Workshop - G4360) and provides advanced
knowledge and techniques for using the OS/2 LAN Server
2.0/3.0 products, both Entry and Advanced. Students learn
information necessary to plan and support OS/2 LAN Server
environments for OS/2 LAN Requesters and DOS LAN Requesters
(DLRs). Topics covered in technical detail include:
LAN Transport (LAPS), LAN Support Program (LSP), 386
High Performance File System (HPFS), Access Control Lists
(ACL), auditing and alerts, Virtual DOS Sessions, capacity
and performance planning, remote IPL and fault tolerance.
