  4. ABSTRACT          Customers acquiring the Entry or Advanced version of OS/2 (R)
  5.            LAN Server 3.0 on or after June 28, 1994, can acquire the next
  6.            version, if and when it is announced, at a 50% discount off the
  7.            upgrade charge.  That next version must be acquired within 90 days of
  8.            its general availability date. The next Entry and Advanced version
  9.            upgrade charges will not exceed $500 and $1,000, respectively.
  10.                   This offering is available through IBM Fulfillment
  11.            Headquarters at 800-3IBM-OS2 (342-6672) and IBM Direct at
  12.            800-IBM-CALL (426-2255).
  13.                   Commercial, state and local government, and education
  14.            customers can participate.  Federal government customers should call
  15.            800-333-6705 or 301-564-7970 to determine their eligibility.
  16.                   This offering cannot be combined with any other discount or
  17.            allowance, except for the IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Client Server
  18.            Promotion, described in Marketing Announcement 394-150, dated
  19.            June 28, 1994.  Customers with a volume discount or special bid
  20.            commitment can take advantage of this offering or their
  21.            volume/special bid discount.  Products acquired under this offering,
  22.            however, will count toward their commitment.

  37. OVERVIEW   ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  38.            To acquire the next version of OS/2 LAN Server, you must provide a
  39.            dated proof of license for IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0.  Acceptable
  40.            proofs are one of the following:
  41.            o   Your receipt or invoice for IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0, dated on or
  42.                after June 28, 1994
  43.            o   A letter on your company's letterhead stating that you are
  44.                replacing your OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 with the future OS/2 LAN
  45.                Server product, and that you acquired OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 on or
  46.                after June 28, 1994.
  47.                   When ordering via an IBM 800 number, these proofs may be faxed
  48.            to the number provided by the 800 number representative.
