  4. ABSTRACT          For a limited time only, all LAN customers not licensed for
  5.            OS/2 (R) LAN Server 3.0 can qualify for special prices on two new
  6.            OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Client Server Packages:
  7.            o   Entry -- licenses for OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Entry and 12 clients
  8.            o   Advanced -- licenses for OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Advanced and
  9.                35 clients
  10.                   Orders must be placed on or before October 28, 1994. The Date
  11.            of Installation, as defined in the IBM Customer Agreement, must occur
  12.            on or after June 28, 1994, but no later than November 28, 1994.
  13.                   This promotion is only available by calling IBM Fulfillment
  14.            Headquarters at 800-3IBM-OS2 (342-6672) or IBM Direct at 800-IBM-CALL
  15.            (426-2255).
  16.            NOTE: By acquiring either package, you may also qualify for a 50%
  17.            discount on a future upgrade release.  See Marketing Announcement
  18.            394-151, dated June 28, 1994, for additional information.
  19.                   Commercial, state and local government, and education
  20.            customers can participate.  Federal government customers should call
  21.            800-333-6705 or 301-564-7970 to determine eligibility.
  22.                   This promotion cannot be combined with any other discount or
  23.            allowance, except for the IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Upgrade Special
  24.            Offering, described in Marketing Announcement 394-151, dated
  25.            June 28, 1994.  Customers with a volume discount or special bid
  26.            commitment can take advantage of this promotion or their
  27.            volume/special bid discount.  Products acquired under this promotion,
  28.            however, will count toward their commitment.

  44.            Both client server packages offer you an excellent bridge to IBM's
  45.            latest OS/2 LAN Server environment at a reasonable price.
  46.                   You must provide proof of acquisition of your currently
  47.            installed IBM down-level or non-IBM license. Proof of acquisition
  48.            must be provided via one of the following:
  49.            o   Your receipt or invoice for your current OS/2 LAN server
  50.            o   A letter on your company's letterhead stating that you are
  51.                replacing your current LAN server (IBM or competitive) with an
  52.                OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 client server Entry or Advanced package
  53.            o   A copy of the front page of your current installation manual.
  54.                   When ordering via an IBM 800 number, these proofs may be faxed
  55.            to the number provided by the 800 number representative.
