LOTUS 1-2-3
GETTING UP TO SPEED: Your spreadsheet operations can go much faster
with 1-2-3 and 32-bit technology. The latest solver and backsolver
technology performs optimization analyses on a separate thread and
performs calculations in the background while you continue working.
AN EASY TRANSITION: 1-2-3 for OS/2 offers the option to use Common
User Access (TM)-compliant menus or the familiar 1-2-3 commands and
keystrokes from 1-2-3 for DOS. To preserve your investment, it also
reads and writes 1-2-3 file types WK1 and WK3.
LOTUS FREELANCE GRAPHICS
Right out of the box, the SmartStart Tutorial helps you create
professional-looking overheads, handouts, and slides. SmartMaster
intelligent templates provide the best mix of colors and fonts in
nine different commonly used page layouts, or you can choose your

LOTUS CC:MAIL
Objects make e-mail easier -- With cc:Mail Desktop for OS/2 Workplace
Shell, your inboxes, message folders, bulletin boards and directories
appear as individual objects on the desktop. Sending, receiving,
copying, attaching, and otherwise managing your messages is a simple
drag-and-drop procedure. To store messages in project-related
folders, you can even "shadow" your e-mail objects to more than one
location. It is the natural, task-oriented way to work.

SmartCenter is a greatly expanded version of the Lotus
Application Manager, previously introduced in SmartSuite Release 1.1

for OS/2. You can use SmartCenter in addition to, or instead of, the
previously announced Lotus Application Manager. You can use the
SmartCenter to:
o Access or switch to any application or object on the desktop,
including DOS, Windows+, and OS/2 applications
o Access frequently used applications, folders, and files
If you drag and drop application icons onto the
SmartCenter, specify settings for any desktop object monitor,
your computer's disk space, CPU activity, and battery power
perform OS/2 desktop operations, such as find, lockup, and shut
down.
o Access SmartCenter for OS/2 help
Working together, Help and Customer Support check cc:Mail
messages and display the current date or time.
o Access a stop watch in the SmartCenter

SPECIFIED OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: Lotus SmartSuite for OS/2 requires a 386SX,
or higher, compatible personal computer.
MEMORY
o Minimum memory for Ami Pro, 1-2-3, Freelance, and cc:Mail running
individually is 4MB (the hard disk swapper file gets fairly
large). Minimum memory for the complete SmartSuite is 8MB.
o Recommended for any application running individually:
- 8MB for Ami Pro
- 6MB for 1-2-3
- 6MB for Freelance
- 4MB for cc:Mail
A high-density, 3.5-inch disk drive is required. Installation
of all products requires a minimum of 23MB of DASD. Additional space
is required for installation of optional features. SmartSuite is
designed for use with networks that support OS/2 2.1, including IBM
LAN Server, 3COM 3+Open LAN Manager, and Novell** NetWare**.

Installation of all products requires a minimum hard disk
space of 23MB. Additional space required for installation of
optional features.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: OS/2 2.1 with ServicePak, or later.
COMPATIBILITY: Lotus SmartSuite for OS/2 is designed for use with
networks that support OS/2 2.1 and later, including IBM OS/2 LAN
Server Version 3.0 and 4.0.
