| |
*-------------------------------------------------------------------*
Time and Place (TM) Connectivity/2 Version 1.3 is a LAN-based,
bidirectional calendar connectivity program that now offers
connectivity to OfficeVision/400 (TM).
This System Application Architecture (SAA (R)), OS/2 (R)
32-bit program allows users of the IBM Time and Place/2 2.0 time
management product -- plus OfficeVision/VM (TM) 1.2, OfficeVision/MVS
(TM) 1.2, OfficeVision/400 3.1, and PROFS (R) 2.2.3 -- to perform
interactive, bidirectional view, free-time search, and calendar
update operations in LAN and host environments.
Time and Place Connectivity/2 1.3 provides the ability to
connect the Time and Place/2, OfficeVision/VM, OfficeVision/MVS,
OfficeVision/400, and PROFS calendars in an "any-to-any" fashion.
For example, by installing and configuring Time and Place
Connectivity/2 1.3, calendar interoperability occurs as follows:
o A Time and Place/2 user can interact with the calendars of
OfficeVision/VM, PROFS, OfficeVision/MVS, and OfficeVision/400
calendar users.
o A PROFS or OfficeVision/VM user can interact with the calendars
of Time and Place/2, OfficeVision/MVS, and OfficeVision/400
calendar users.
o An OfficeVision/MVS user can interact with the calendars of Time
and Place/2, PROFS, OfficeVision/VM, and OfficeVision/400
calendar users.
o An OfficeVision/400 user can interact with the calendars of Time
and Place/2, PROFS, OfficeVision/VM, and OfficeVision/MVS
calendar users.
In each case, calendar users see remote calendar information
in the user interface they are accustomed to.
Additional Time and Place Connectivity/2 1.3 features include:
o Support to connect remote Time and Place/2 2.0 systems using APPC

over an SNA network
o APPC and RSCS connectivity to the OfficeVision/VM host calendar
environment, plus RSCS connectivity to the PROFS host calendar
environment
