  778.           PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS:  Response time in a terminal environment  
  779.           depends upon a variety of system unit and data-communication load     
  780.           factors.  These include the type and speed of system unit processor,  
  781.           number and types of communication adapters installed, the line speed  
  782.           of the communication service, and the amount of processing done by    
  783.           the applications utilizing Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270.   
  784.           PLANNING INFORMATION                                                  
  785.                  The Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270 can be setup to    
  786.           work in a server/client relationship.  The approach for Personal      
  787.           Communications AS/400 and 3270 is to store the least amount of code   
  788.           necessary on the client workstation and to store the major portion of 
  789.           the runtime code and configuration information on a LAN file server.  
  790.           This allows the customers to utilize their workstations for more      
  791.           applications.                                                         
  792.           CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES:  The customer must provide the minimum     
  793.           hardware and software environments in which Personal Communications   
  794.           AS/400 and 3270 will operate.  It is recommended that an              
  795.           administrator be assigned to customize the program for the end-users  
  796.           and to provide the end-user with host information required to         
  797.           configure and install Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270.  To    
  798.           assist in configuring Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270, a      
  799.           configuration worksheet is included in the documentation provided     
  800.           with the program.

  943.                  The program package upgrade option allows currently licensed   
  944.           users of any IBM or other vendor's 3270 or 5250 emulation program,    
  945.           such as EXTRA!, Rumba, DCA, Rumba/400, to obtain the new function for 
  946.           a program upgrade charge.                                             
  947.                  Upgrades are also available to licensed users of Client        
  948.           Access/400 to migrate from the 5250 emulation offering to the         
  949.           combined offering of Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270.  The    
  950.           program upgrade to Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270 is         
  951.           available from February 24, 1995.  Orders will be accepted after      
  952.           February 24, 1995.                                                    
  953.                  Upgrades to Personal Communications AS/400 and 3270 from any   
  954.           IBM or other vendor's 3270 or 5250 emulation program may be obtained  
  955.           through IBM Authorized Personal Computer Dealers and industry         
  956.           remarketers.  The dealer or remarketer will require validation of     
  957.           license for each upgrade offered.  Upgrades may be obtained from      
  958.           Authorized Personal Computer Dealers or industry remarketers.  The    
  959.           customer must certify the current license for each upgrade or provide 
  960.           an original invoice or proof of acquisition (from the program         
  961.           package) with payment to the remarketer.                              
  962.                  Customers can also order upgrades through the local IBM office 
  963.           using the IBM Personal Computer/System Program IBM U.S. Upgrade and   
  964.           Certification Order Form.  The order can be placed only through the   
  965.           local IBM office.  The total quantity of upgrades acquired for a      
  966.           specific program cannot exceed the total quantity of program packages 
  967.           and/or additional licenses previously acquired for that program.      
  968.           Proof of License for upgrade eligibility for additional license       
  969.           upgrades is a copy of this invoice or previously acquired Proof of
