TITLE IBM PERSONALLY SAFE'N'SOUND FOR OS/2, VERSION 3
ABSTRACT Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2 (R), Version 3, provides a
simple backup and recovery utility for OS/2 data. This 32-bit
application exploits the multi-tasking capability of the OS/2
operating system.
With Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2 you can choose the
files, folders, or disks to be included in the backup, and can then
specify where the data should be stored. The data can be stored on
diskette, harddisk, optical disk, or a central server on a LAN.
Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2 protects your system against
data loss with a minimum of interruption. It allows automatic
user-specified backups, including multiple generations of backups on
a variety of backup devices.
Since the automatic backup capabilities of Personally
Safe'n'Sound for OS/2 run entirely in the background, there is
minimal impact to your productivity. Personally Safe'n'Sound for
OS/2 also reduces the time and difficulty of retrieving data.
A simple graphical user interface facilitates the recovery of
individual files or groups of files.

Once these parameters are set up, Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2

COMPANY-WIDE BACKUP STANDARDS
By using a special set of control files, Personally Safe'n'Sound for
OS/2 knows what files and folders to backup, when to back them up,
and where to store them. These control files can be shared across a
LAN, allowing a LAN administrator to set up and manage a backup
strategy for a whole LAN, or group of users.
PRODUCT POSITIONING
Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2 provides security against
lost data. It is an insurance policy against hardware failure or
human error. Despite the risks, most users do not take the time to
make backup copies of their vital data as this is a tedious,
time-consuming and labor-intensive task.
After an initial set up of Personally Safe'n'Sound for OS/2,
users can work with confidence, knowing that their vital data is
being protected automatically.
The security and benefits provided by Personally Safe'n'Sound
for OS/2 can be exploited by the stand-alone PC user or the corporate
