  5. ABSTRACT          The DatagLANce (TM) Network Analyzer is a powerful network
  6.            analyzer and problem determination tool for Ethernet and token-ring
  7.            networks that provides the ability for network managers and support
  8.            personnel to monitor, debug, and tune their networks.  The Network
  9.            Analyzer displays real-time statistics about the network and provides
  10.            frame capture, seven-layer protocol decode functions, and traffic
  11.            generation.
  12.                   An OS/2 (R) graphical user interface presents information,
  13.            complete with online help and references, that is advantageous in
  14.            debugging networking software, fine-tuning networks for capacity and
  15.            network reconfiguration planning, and trouble-shooting
  16.            inter-networking protocols.
  17.                   DatagLANce software has a graphical end-user interface
  18.            compliant with Common User Access (TM) architecture and conforms to

  183.                   The DatagLANce Network Analyzer software uses the security and
  184.            auditability features of its host PC system.
  185.                   The DatagLANce Network Analyzer provides security, control,
  186.            and flexibility with a key lock.  The software is configured to run
  187.            only with the key lock plugged into the PC's parallel port.  When not
  188.            in use, the key lock should be secured to prevent execution of
  189.            DatagLANce software.  Multiple copies of the software can be made but
  190.            only one copy can be executed at a time, and it must be on a machine
  191.            with the key lock installed.

  193.            implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and
  194.            appropriate controls in application systems and communication
