  4. ABSTRACT          Would you like to gain control over your group scheduling,

  6.                   IBM Time and Place/2 Version 2.0, an OS/2 (R)  2.0 or 2.1
  7.            LAN-based time management program, can help you coordinate and
  8.            schedule activities.
  9.                   Time and Place/2 is differentiated by its group scheduling
  10.            functions and its capability (when used with Time and Place
  11.            Connectivity/2 Version 1.2) to interoperate and exchange data with
  12.            OfficeVision/VM (TM), PROFS (R) or OfficeVision/MVS (TM).  Host and
  13.            LAN users can view each other's calendars in native format,
  14.            eliminating the need to retrain or to be aware of the location of
  15.            other systems.

  72.            clients in Time and Place/2.

  87.                   The Time and Place/2 server will run on any PS/2 (R) or
  88.            compatible system supported by OS/2 2.0 (with Service Pak
  89.            Level XR06055) or OS/2 2.1.  The minimum system includes:
  90.            o   20MHz 80386DX.
  91.            o   5.5MB RAM in addition to the memory needed for software
  92.                prerequisites.  This supports the default number of five agents.
  93.                Add 1.0MB RAM for each additional agent.
  94.            o   3.6MB fixed disk space for one MASTER and one DATA SERVER in
  95.                addition to the space for software prerequisites and the data for
  96.                the database.
  97.                NOTE: This does not include the following optional server
  98.                components:
  99.                -   Administration Utility 0.7MB
  100.                -   Directory Synchronization Utility 0.8MB

  114.            Level XR06055) or OS/2 2.1.  Time and Place/2 Windows clients will
  115.            run on any PS/2 or compatible system supported by DOS 3.3, or later,
  116.            and Windows 3.1.  Time and Place/2 DOS clients will run on any PS/2
  117.            or compatible system supported by DOS 3.3, or later.
  118.                   The minimum system for OS/2 clients includes:

  120.            o   2.5MB RAM (in addition to the memory needed for software

  360.                be in effect).  The customer also has the option of ordering a
  361.                Proof of License for distributed feature certificate (the ICA is
  362.                not required).
  363.            IBM EDUCATION FULFILLMENT CENTER:  The announced program is eligible
  364.            to be ordered through the IBM Education Fulfillment Center.
  365.            Availability through the IBM Education Fulfillment Center may not
  366.            coincide with the programming availability dates in other sections of
  367.            this document.
  368.                   The IBM Education Fulfillment Center is the order processing
  369.            location for selected personal computers and related
  370.            hardware/software for eligible education end users.
  371.            PROGRAM UPGRADE
  372.                   The program package upgrade option allows currently licensed
  373.            users of IBM Time and Place/2 Version 1.0 (53G3889) to obtain the new
  374.            function for a program upgrade charge.  The program upgrade to IBM
  375.            Time and Place/2 Version 2.0 is available for no charge from
  376.            March 22, 1994, until September 30, 1994.  (Refer to Marketing
  377.            Announcement 394-058, dated March 22, 1994, for details.)
  378.                   Orders will be accepted immediately.  These upgrades will be
  379.            available through IBM Authorized Personal Computer Dealers and
  380.            Industry Remarketers -- Personal Computers certified to market IBM
  381.            Authorized Advanced Products.  The remarketer will require a Proof of
  382.            License for each upgrade ordered.  The original Proof of License is
  383.            the colored front cover page of the Installation/Administration
  384.            manual.
  385.                   Customers may also order upgrades through the local IBM office
  386.            using the IBM Personal Computer/System Program IBM US Upgrade and
  387.            Certification Order Form.
  388.                   The customer certifies that the total quantity of the IBM
  389.            Personal Computer Program Package Upgrades, Additional License
  390.            Upgrades, and distributed feature upgrades indicated below does not
  391.            exceed the quantity of licenses for the program being upgraded that
  392.            the customer has obtained from US Marketing and Services and that are
  393.            currently licensed by the customer.  Further, the customer certifies
  394.            that the total quantity of this upgrade ordered by the customer by
  395.            all procedures will not exceed the total quantity of licenses to the
  396.            program being updated that have been obtained from all sources and
  397.            are currently licensed by the customer.  Documentation to
  398.            substantiate the quantity of licenses obtained will be available for
  399.            inspection by IBM for a period of six months following the date of
  400.            the upgrade order.
  401.                   For each copy of the program or distributed feature being
  402.            upgraded, original materials that are replaced by the upgrade and all
  403.            copies of these materials will be destroyed within 30 days of the
  404.            receipt of the upgrade.  The provisions of the IBM Program License
  405.            Agreement will be applicable to the licensed program upgrade
  406.            received.
  407.                   This upgrade is offered only for licenses granted in the
  408.            United States and/or Puerto Rico.
  409.            TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  410.            LICENSING:  The program in this announcement is licensed under the
  411.            terms and conditions of the IBM Program License Agreement.  A copy of
  412.            the agreement is included in the program package.
  413.            ADDITIONAL LICENSE:  The IBM Customer Agreement (ICA) must be in
  414.            effect, or Proof of Additional License certificate must be acquired.
  415.            DISTRIBUTED FEATURES:  The ICA must be in effect, or Proof of License
  416.            for Distributed Features certificate must be acquired.
  417.            LIMITED WARRANTY:
  418.            o   Program:  Yes.  Media:  Three months.
  419.            o   Additional Licenses:  Yes.  Media:  Not applicable.
  420.            o   Distributed Features:  Yes.  Media:  Not applicable.
  421.            PROGRAM SERVICES:  Central Service, including the IBM Support Center,
  422.            will be available until March 31, 1996.  The program in this
  423.            announcement is supported by the IBM Software Solutions Westlake
  424.            Product Service Operations.  Access to this support center is through
  425.            the IBM Support Center.  The statement of service included in the
  426.            program package describes this service.
  427.            VOLUME ORDERS:  The additional licenses and distributed features
  428.            included in this announcement are eligible for volume discounting
  429.            under the terms of the ICA and the exhibit for Volume Additional
  430.            License Usage.  These programs are included in Categories B and D
  431.            under 5872-AA2 and 5877-AA4.

  479.            charge for additional licenses may copy machine-readable program
  480.            materials and printed documentation previously acquired from IBM in a
