  7. ABSTRACT          The names of two of the SOMobjects (TM) products in Software
  8.            Announcement 293-319, dated June 15, 1993, are changed:
  9.            o   IBM SOMobjects Workstation Enabler Version 2.0 for OS/2 (R)

  11.            o   IBM SOMobjects Workgroup Enabler Version 2.0 for OS/2 (96F8675)
  12.            You can now obtain Additional Licenses for each of the Enabler
  13.            packages in packs of five or packs of twenty, at significantly
  14.            reduced prices.  Also, contracts will be available October 30, 1993,
  15.            to extend the right to copy the Workstation Enabler and Workgroup
  16.            Enabler packages, announced on June 15, 1993.
  17.                   Extended right to copy contracts may be obtained for the
  18.            following:
  19.            1.  High volumes of additional license copies of SOMobjects
  20.                Enabler Version 2.0 code and documentation for internal-only
  21.                deployment, including integration with internal applications, at
  22.                significant discounts.
  23.            2.  Inclusion of SOMobjects Enabler Version 2.0-level code with a
  24.                software vendor's application, and subject to certain terms and
  25.                conditions, for redistribution without additional fee.
  26.                       Contract price:
  27.                o   For Workstation Enabler:  $10,000
  28.                o   For Workgroup Enabler:  $30,000
  29.            3.  Inclusion of the SOM/DSOM components of the Workstation Enabler
  30.                Version 2.0-level code with a software vendor's application
  31.                development tools offering for inclusion in the tool user's
  32.                application.
  33.                       Contract price:  based on vendor tool volumes/pricing.

  35.            (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Central time, Monday through Friday), as of
  36.            October 30, 1993.

  52.            Each of the SOMobjects Enabler Additional Licenses Packs will be
  53.            distributed in one package with a unique part number and will contain
  54.            a certificate indicating the quantity of the Additional Licenses the
  55.            certificate authorizes.
  56.            SECURITY, AUDITABILITY AND CONTROL
  57.                   User management is responsible for evaluation, selection and
  58.            implementation of security features, administrative procedures and
  59.            appropriate controls in application systems and communication
  60.            facilities.
  61. ORDERING   ORDERING INFORMATION
  62.                   Orders for new licenses will be accepted October 5, 1993.
  63.            ADDITIONAL LICENSE COPIES:  Authorization  for the customer who has a
  64.            program package to make the number of copies of the program diskette
  65.            and documentation indicated on the single, five-pack and twenty-pack
  66.            certificates.  To receive authorization to copy, order a Proof of
  67.            Additional License certificate (available in single, five-pack and
  68.            twenty-pack options).
  69.            TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  70.            LICENSING:  The program in this announcement is licensed under the
  71.            terms and conditions of the IBM Program License Agreement.  A copy of
  72.            the agreement is included in the program package.  A Proof of
  73.            Additional License certificate must be acquired.
  74.            LIMITED WARRANTY:
  75.            o   Program:  Yes.  Media:  Three months.
  76.            o   Additional Licenses:  Yes.  Media:  Not applicable.
  77.            PROGRAM SERVICES:  Refer to Software Announcement 293-319.  The
  78.            statement of service included in the program package describes this
  79.            service.

  81.            TESTING PERIOD:  None; 30-day money-back guarantee applies.  The IBM
  82.            Customer Agreement (ICA) must be in effect.
