  12.   ChipChat-Cawthon* Software announced that it is now shipping the
  13.   ChipChat Wireless Communicator* for OS/2**.  The ChipChat Wireless
  14.   Communicator sends text messages to wireless alpha-pagers quickly,
  15.   conveniently, and easily using the OS/2 Workplace Shell.

  17.   The ChipChat Wireless Communicator was designed specifically for OS/2
  18.   and integrates closely with the OS/2 Workplace Shell. "Our goal is to
  19.   extend and complement OS/2 so that wireless paging appears to be
  20.   built right in," said Marty Cawthon, president of ChipChat-Cawthon.

  22.   The ChipChat Wireless Communicator is fully object oriented in
  23.   design and one of the first to be built around IBM's System Object
  24.   Model (SOM) technology.  The communications module relies on
  25.   ChipChat-Cawthon's own "ChipChat Communications Objects", an
  26.   independent SOM Class Library.  The user interface was built using
  27.   the IBM CSet++ User Interface Class Libraries and integrates with
  28.   the OS/2 Workplace Shell.  "IBM SOM and CSet++ technology allowed us
  29.   to build this product quickly and efficiently", said Marty Cawthon
  30.   president of ChipChat-Cawthon. "We put the ChipChat Wireless
  31.   Communicator together from SOM and CSet++ components in a very short
  32.   time and are extremely pleased with the result.  It's the software
  33.   way of the future."

  36.   developer, is a member of IBM's Developer Assistance Program.
