  4.  and other files of interest to OS/2 developers.

  11.  not be sufficient for some commercial application developers.

  38.  The Solution Developer Program has the following tiers:

  42.         General Information         -  which is free
  43.         Individual Member           -  which is free with some fee
  44.         Commercial Developer Member -  which is free with some fee
  45.  
  46.  The IBM Solution Developer Program covers all IBM operating systems
  47.  (OS/2, AIX, AS/400 and MVS); software products such as DB2, CICS and
  48.  NetView; and specific technology areas such as object technology
  49.  and systems management.  The program will be especially useful
  50.  to commercial software developers who want to build mission-critical,
  51.  multi-platform client/server applications.

  53.  There are two types of membership:  Commercial Developer Member
  54.  (for companies that develop software for the commercial market),
  55.  and Individual Member (for people registering as individuals).
  56.  Some of the program content is clearly designed to help companies
  57.  expand their market opportunity, and will only be available to
  58.  Commercial Developer Members.  As members, developers will have
  59.  access to IBM strategy documents, technical insights and other
  60.  information that is critical to them if their business is to
  61.  expand into existing and emerging markets.

  63.  Specific to technical support, there will be Frequently Asked Questions,
  64.  Hints and Tips, as well as the ability to ask questions and receive
  65.  a reply within a specified time frame.  IBM has designed the Solution
  66.  Developer Program to give you the ability to select the level of
  67.  support you feel is warranted to the size of your business.

  69.  The Solution Developer Program is one vehicle for the Commercial
  70.  Solution Developers (ISVs) to communicate their business needs to IBM.

  72.  If you are a software developer within a corporation whose main
  73.  business is not commercial "for sale" software, then your support
  74.  vehicles are IBM Service for Defects and IBM SupportLine for technical
  75.  support.
