  1. This is a README file for textutils 1.22 for OS/2.
  2.  
  3.  This is a port of the GNU textutils 1.22 to OS/2 using emx0.9c.
  4.  
  5.  
  6.  Makefiles were changed to compile the code correctly.
  7.  Moreover, the set of binaries included does not suppor local alias and
  8. message inherance, but the source code does.
  9.  To compile, get GNU make and at root type make -f makefile.os2.
  10.  Dirs intl, m4, po, test are not included.
  11.  Wildcard expansion was emulated through emx functions.
  12.  
  13.  No other changes were needed.
