  19. 1. What is the Reboot/2 package for ?
  20. =====================================
  21. This package creates a WPS folder, from from which you can
  22. directly reboot to all bootable partitions directly, without
  23. invoking the Bootmanager Menu.

  27. OS/2 Bootmanager/SETBOOT.EXE do the real work, thus no
  28. application shutdown is made, but file-system shutdown only !

  30. Before invoking such a reboot, all applications should be closed
  31. or at least all unsaved data should be saved,
  32.  
  33.   OTHERWISE UNSAVED DATA IS LOST !!!!

  38. 2. Install and configure Reboot/2
  39. ======================================
  40.  
  41. The package comes with the following files
  42.  
  43. readme               - you are reading this file
  44. history              - release history
  45. file_id.diz          - package description file
  46. wpsinst.cmd          - generates the reboot folder
  47. *.ico                - some icons for the generated reboot
  48.                        objects
  49.  
  50. Unpack the files of this package to a separate directory on your
  51. hardisk. Then run INSTALL.CMD to query all bootable partitions
  52. on your system.
  53. It creates a WPS folder with one icon for each bootable
  54. partition. If you execute one of these icons and press enter,
  55. SETBOOT.EXE is executed to OS/2 shutdown *IMMEDIATELY*
  56. (no application shutdown, only file-system shuttdown) and the
  57. appropriate partition is booted directly by bypassing the boot
  58. manager menu.

  60. Note:
  61.    - Before executing a reboot, close all applications or at least
  62.      save all unsaved data, OTHERWISE UNSAVED DATA IS LOST !!!!

  65. The Reboot/2 folder is created in the OS/2 System folder and a
  66. shadow of it is placed onto the desktop.

  68. Whenever you change the names ot the partitions or add to or
  69. delete partitons from the Bootmanager menu, run the program icon
  70. to let Reboot/2 recreate the reboot icons and to delete obsolete ones.

  77. This package requires the OS/2 Bootmanager being installed.

  85. It can be used wherever you use OS/2 2.x or later.

  87. You are allowed to freely use and distribute Reboot/2 as

  92.  -  no fee is charged for the program other than for cost of
  93.     media;
  94.  -  the complete package is distributed unmodified in the
  95.     original and unmodified zip file;
