Numlock2 for OS/2
Version 1.0, June 1997
Koen Hoefkens, OS/2 User group Belgium
Numlock2 for OS/2 is probably the first numlock program that actually works, and it's freeware.
Numlock2 turns your numlock on :
* every time you boot OS/2
* when starting a DOS session (windowed or full screen)
* when starting a OS/2 prompt (windowed or full screen)
* your numlock stays on, even after switching between different programs
* if you turn off your numlock manually, it's not turned on automatic
(except when you start a new OS/2 prompt or a new DOS session)
There are 3 executables :
* PM version (always installed)
* OS/2 text mode (windowed and full screen)
* DOS version
After the installation program has copied the files to hard disk, the config.sys and autoexec.bat
files are changed and a new program is added to the startup folder.
After installation it's necessary to reboot your computer.
Optionally you can add a parameter to Numlock2 in the startup folder.
Just enter a number from 1 to 10 in the "parameters" field from the settings notebook.
This number indicated the refresh time in seconds.
The higher this number the longer it takes to update the numlock state,
the lower this number, the faster the numlock is updated.
