What is Lockup Password Finder?
-------------------------------
OS/2 Lockup Password Finder is an utility that finds and displays
OS/2's standard lockup screen password. Until now, there was no way to retrieve
forgotten "Lockup" password and the only option was to remove it completely
using 'makeini' utility.
What's New:
-----------
- "invalid whole number" error message bug fixed (OS/2 version)
- new & more efficient search engine (OS/2 version)
- command line aware (OS/2 version)
- more OS/2 versions support including Merlin (both versions)
- other bugs fixed (both versions)
Usage:
------
(DOS version)
The program can be launch from any directory or any drive. In the
command line you specify where OS/2 files are located on your hard drive.
For example: 'doslpwfd c:\os2' or 'doslpwfd e:\bestos'. If no arguments
specified the program is looking for OS/2 files in current directory.
*
(OS/2 version)
The program can also be launch from any directory or drive. It can be
run from OS/2 window or full screen session. It can also be run with parameters
by specifying a directory in which OS/2 files are located. For example:
'os2lpwfd d:\merlin' (same as in DOS version). If no arguments specified the
program is using OS/2 directory set in the environment variables.
The password will be displayed inside of two square brackets.
OS/2 versions compatibility:
----------------------------
The LPWFD utility works with OS/2 2.x or greater versions including
Merlin (at least the beta version). If any bugs found or questions please email
me.
