  16.   What is it?
  17. INIedit is a program to change *.INI file settings. It allows 
  18. you to view, delete or modify (sometimes) settings from any INI 
  19. files. Delete or change the wrong item, and you will cause 
  20. problems with the settings of OS/2 or program's related to the 
  21. INI file. So don't use it until you know more about INI files, 
  22. or limit to viewing INI files.

  24.   Why did I make this program?
  25. I try out a lot of program's. Some of them add templates that 
  26. cannot be removed unless the entry is removed from the INI 
  27. files, or they add information that I would like to remove after 
  28. deleting the program. Unseeded a utility to do this. As I didn't 
  29. have any program to do this, or everybody asks money for a 
  30. similar program, I just made it myself and share it with the 
  31. world for free. Actually, It's the first program I have ever 
  32. written. Why did I use VXREXX. Well, it's easy to use and quite 
  33. powerful. But easy to use was the main reason.

  35.   How to use the program?
  36. First you'll have to unzip the file in a directory that you 
  37. should create. You will need the file VROBJ.DLL Ver. 2.1B and 
  38. Rexx installed on your OS/2 machine. There is a version 
  39. available with and without the VROBJ.DLL. Put the VROBJ.DLL in 
  40. your /OS2/DLL directory. You can use it with other program's 
  41. that are created with Watcom VXREXX. (So you only need to 
  42. download it once.) Then just start the program and you will get 
  43. a Main window with 3 small windows. Just play around by clicking 
  44. the buttons, and you will find out how it works. (I am to lazy 
  45. to write a manual) If you don't know how to use it when you try 
  46. it, or you have no idea about what you're doing, it may be 
  47. better that you don't use it until you understand more about INI 
  48. files.

  50. I added a TESTIT.INI file to try the program without danger. Use 
  51. the load *.INI button to load the file. It should allow you to 
  52. learn something about the program and play around with it 
  53. without messing up your system. Sometimes the third window will 
  54. include funny characters. This is binary stuff that can not be 
  55. modified so easy. Just do like I do and ignore it.

  58. Please take care that you have the correct version of the 
  59. VROBJ.DLL if you do not have the version with the DLL. 
  60. If you find any bugs, please let me know. I am still learning so 
  61. I am not perfect. I guess that there are many people still 
  62. learning ;-)
