  7.   To handle the problem of getting to an object in a folder, many 
  8.   users create a special folder to hold objects that they frequently 
  9.   use.  But often this new folder becomes filled with objects, some 
  10.   of which are only used once a month while others are used hourly.  
  11.   Locating a desired object in such a folder can be like trying to 
  12.   find "a needle in a haystack".  
  13.   
  14.   To solve the retrieval problem, Group Folder allows you to create 
  15.   visible subsections within a given folder.  Thus, you have more 
  16.   control over the organization of the contents of folders.  The 
  17.   grouping of related objects helps you locate the object you want 
  18.   more quickly.

  41.   But some things are better seen than described.  To see how the 
  42.   Group Folder's Group View can be used to organize a collection of 
  43.   objects in a folder, select "Create standard groups" from the menu 
  44.   bar and an example set of groups based on the objects installed 
  45.   with OS/2 will be created.

  47. Installation

  49.   First copy your GFOLDER.DLL file to a disk.  For example, 
  50.   C:\OS2\DLL.  Copy the Group Folder help file, GFOLDER.HLP, to your 
  51.   help directory, for example, C:\OS2\HELP.

  53.   Then start the installation program, GFINST.EXE.  It will prompt 
  54.   you for the path where your copied the GFOLDER.DLL.  When the 
  55.   installation is complete, a new folder object called "Group Folder" will
  56.   appear on your desktop.
