  30. This application is a filter designer for OS/2 2.1.
  31. The user chooses what filter response they want
  32. for their filter (lowpass or highpass), what filter
  33. approximation they would like (Butterworth or
  34. Chebyshev), and what corner frequency they would
  35. like.  Pressing the 'Evaluate' button gives 
  36. the component values necessary for the circuit.
  37.  
  38. The filter is fourth-order, made of two
  39. second-order filters in series.  These filters are
  40. in Sallen-and-Key configuration and have unity gain.

  45. If anyone finds a bug, I WANT to know about it,
  46. quick smart.  I sincerely hope that somebody finds
  47. this filter designer useful!

  70. Copy the archive to any directory, decompress it,
  71. and run the executable FILDES1.EXE.

  73. The information files can be safely deleted (but not
  74. when distributing; see License agreement section).

  82. The design is the greatest limitation.  See LCA1.DOC.
  83. It will not work in Windows 95.  This is not a bug in
  84. my software; Windows 95 IS the bug. (A big fat one too!)

  116. I used Dr Dialog, which is a PM application creation 
  117. tool using REXX.  I must commend David Morrill for
  118. an excellent job with Dr Dialog.  I personally think
  119. it is better than Visual BaSick :-), VisPro and 
  120. VX REXX.  It's more intuitive.  Also, it's
  121. free (almost).  I actually understood all the 
  122. documentation!  I built most of this application in one
  123. day - including having to learn how to use Dr Dialog
  124. and REXX.  Wow.
