Detect & Execute for OS/2

-------------------------------------------
------------
Introduction
------------
Ok, you ask me what is this. Well, if your Mailer always died for
some unknown (or known) reasons, maybe system failure or naughty users, if
you want to make sure your BBS won't get NO CARRIER all the time when you
are away (like the author who lived in hostel most of the time),
Detect & Execute (DE.EXE) is the way to go.
Just add it to ALARM.EXE (in the OS/2 Productivity Folder) and
set the alarm to execute DE.EXE (of course with the correct parameters),
DE.EXE will take care of your BBS and make sure if it is downed, it will
be fired up again. No asking, no flamming, just working ...
------------
Installation
------------
If you donno how to decompress the archive (!!!), follow the command
below :
1. UNZIP DE104.ZIP
2. INSTALL <path to install>
e.g. C:\INSTALL.CMD E:\DE
(REMEMBER, you MUST have the path exists before you start install!)
Here it is the way to install, no kidding. Hee ... 8>

Report of bugs
--------------
If you want to report a bug, or any suggestions (highly
recommended), please do it in netmail to 6:700/443.0@fidonet.org. In the
content, please include the following informations :
- Versions of OS/2 you are running with CSD levels
(e.g. 2.1GA, OS/2 for Windows, XR06200 etc)
- The program you are using DE.EXE with, if available, include
its version.
- Versions of 4OS2 (or CMD.EXE), with the information generated by
the SYSLEVEL.EXE and VER/R command.
- Any other information you would think of useful.
--------
Warranty
--------
Of course, I DON'T guarantee any kind of loss of data because of
the use of DE.EXE (even you are sure or not), I can ONLY guarantee it
occupies a certain amount of disk space. DON'T BLAME ME.
------------
Registration
------------
Well, this program is GENERALLY considered as freeware BUT if you
are using it in commercial environment you are expected to pay a one-time
site license fee of US$150.
Of course, any donation (money or postcard) are encouraged. When
I get a certain amount of donation ($$$) I can buy a copy of CA-Realizer
and start writing 32bit PM programs. Of course, you guys will surely
benefit from it. (Well, I have NO association with CA ...)

How to contact the Author
-------------------------
If you want to contact the author for any reasons, netmail to
6:700/443.0@fidonet.org (or fax, if you like) is the way to go. Netmail is
the fastest way to go since my hub doesn't always receive OS2BBS echo
stably. So if you don't receive my reply in fidonet OS2BBS echo don't be
angry. The mail may probably get lost on the way.
Well, here is my postal address (I believed it will be valid at
least up to July 31, 1994) :

See You guys in the next release.
