What is Detect & Execute ?
--------------------------
Detect & Execute is a very simple utility that allow you to
detect whether an application is running (that exist in the
PID list) or dead, if the application is not found, DE will
start it over again. There will be 2 chance given to DE to
detect the application, where the time between the 2 detect
can be defined in command line.
Since Detect & Execute is using the native functions of
OS/2, there won't be DOS version nor Windows version (I
don't interested in develop it either) available. Don't
blame me if you can't run it in DOS.
This program is especially useful for use with BBS system
to detect whether the BBS is downed or not. You can use it
together with the ALARM (tm) from OS/2 package so DE will
be executed, say, every hour to detect whether your BBS is
"killed" and need to start all over.

Credits
-------
Many thanks to all the beta testers for their contributions
the time they spent testing the programs, reporting problem
and making suggestions. This is really a cliche, but I
really couldn't have done it without time. Listing all of
them here would tak too much space, but I would especially
like to thank to the following people, listed in no
particular order.
How to contact the Author
-------------------------
If you want to contact the author for any reasons, OS2BBS
fidonet echo or netmail to 6:700/443.0@fidonet.org (or fax,
if you like) is the way to go. Netmail is the fastest way
to go since my hub doesn't always receive OS2BBS echo
stably. So if you don't receive my reply in fidonet OS2BBS
echo don't be angry. The mail may probably get lost on the
way.
