  4.     This file contains important information on ConfigWiz
  5.     such as last minute updates to the docmentation,
  6.     installation instructions, etc.
  7.     Please read this file in its entirety.

  10. HOW TO GET HELP
  11. ---------------
  12. If you have any problems, please read this file, the online help,
  13. and any other text files in the CWIZ directory. If you still have
  14. a question and need help, it is available from the following sources:
  15.  
  16. 1. With your modem, dial 1-913-764-5958, and leave a message to Tech
  17. Support. (This is for registered users only.)
  18.  
  19. 2. Leave a message to Kelly Schrock on FIDOnet, address 1:280/304,
  20. and I will reply to you as soon as i get your message.

  22. 3. leave e-mail to 70572,1247 on Compuserve, and I will reply to you
  23. as soon as I get your message. If possible, leave the message on FIDOnet,
  24. as I am there a lot more often.

  27. INSTALLING CONFIGWIZ
  28. --------------------
  29. To install this program, log to the distribution disk where the
  30. files for it are stored, and type INSTALL. you will be prompted
  31. for information on where the files should be placed. If the files
  32. were in an archive, unpack them all to a temprary directory, and
  33. type INSTALL from the temporary directory.

  35. The file CWIZ.INF contains important information on the use of
  36. ConfigWiz.

  38. To view the INF file, type VIEW CWIZ at the command prompt.

  40. The online help file, CWIZ.HLP, contains the same information,
  41. in HLP format.

  44. OMISSIONS FROM THE MANUAL
  45. -------------------------
  46. The manual does not state that ConfigWiz can accept
  47. a command line. The syntax is:
  48.  
  49. [start] CWIZ [file1] [file2]
  50.  
  51. [file1] is the name of the CONFIG.SYS file to edit. [file2] is the
  52. name of the AUTOEXEC.BAT file to edit. If you do not specify
  53. a CONFIG.SYS file, you cannot specify an AUTOEXEC.BAT file, either.
  54. CWIZ always interprets the first filename specified on the command line
  55. to be a CONFIG.SYS file. If a CONFIG.SYS file is specified, but no
  56. AUTOEXEC.BAT is specified, the AUTOEXEC.BAT file specified in the
  57. "User Settings" page will be used. When CWIZ exits, the CONFIG.SYS
  58. file specified at the command line will be saved to the CWIZ.INI file.
