  12. this is a netpopup replacement that uses a MLE window. i find it less distracting
  13.  then the one that comes with lanman 2.0 and lan server 1.2 which use a vioPopup.

  15. installing it is quite simple.

  17. 1. edit the ibmlan\ibmlan.ini file to not autostart normal netpopup service by 
  18.     changeing the line "wrkservices = messenger,netpop"
  19.      to  "wrkservices = messenger"
  20.  
  21. 2. do a "Start newpop" from the command prompt after starting the network
  22.     this could be done in a startup.cmd as well...
  23.     mine looks like:
  24.      net start req
  25.      start newpop
  26.      logon name /P:pass
  27.  
  28. 3. to get rid of the box either tap on the "OK" button with the mouse. or if it's the
  29.     active window press return on the keyboard \
  30.  
  31. 4. each box takes 200k of ram. this is not from my program, but from the MLE box. so 
  32. don't let more then 20 build up or you will be out of memory till you make some dissapear.
