ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. About Character Table ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Charater Table is a program to display the set of character symbols of an OS/2
supported outline font. It enables you to:
o Change the displayed Font
o Change Code page
o Print the Character Table
The Character Table program will store its settings in a initialization file
named chartbl.ini. The information stored includes:
o Current Window position
o Dialog Window positions for all Dialog Boxes
o Current Font
o Current Codepage
o Current Printer Queue
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Changing Font ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
To change the font being displayed:
1. From the Options menu, select Set Font, or type Ctrl-F
2. Select the desired font from the list
3. Click on Ok
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Changing Code Page ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
To change the code page for the displayed font:
1. From the Options menus, select Set Codepage, or type Ctrl-C
2. Select the desired codepage from the list
3. Click on Ok
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Printing the Character Table ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
To print the character table you must:
1. Select a printer queue
2. Select Print from the Options menu, or type Ctrl-P
The current character table being displayed on the screen will now be sent to
the selected printer queue. A Printing Dialog box is displayed enabling the
print to be aborted.
Note. When the Character Table program was first run, a print queue selection
dialog was displayed. If a queue was selected at that time then a new print
queue selection is not needed unless a new queue is desired.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Selecting a Printer Queue ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
To select a printer queue:
o From the Options menu, select Printer Setup, or type Ctrl-S
o Select a printer queue from the list
o Click on Ok
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Other Features ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Character Table Program will also display a selected character on a
background of yellow. To select a character just click on it with the mouse.
The following keys will also move the highlight:

Cursor Up Up
PgUp Up and Right
Cursor Left Left
End Down and Left
Cursor Down Down
PgDn Down and Right
Cursor Right Right
