On 3+Open networks without a Name service, workstations and servers do not
synchronize their internal clocks. The two programs ASKTIMEO and ASKTIMED
allow OS/2 and DOS machines to synchronize their clocks to a single server.
It is suggested that ASKTIMED be placed in the AUTOEXEC.BAT files used by all
DOS netstations, so it is executed immediately after the user is logged on to
the network and before any NET USEs are performed. ASKTIMEO should be placed
in the same location in the STARTUP.CMD files of OS/2 machines.
It may be most convenient to add an entry to the AT schedule on 3+Open
servers so they execute this once a day.
The syntax for both versions of the program is identical:
ASKTIMEx \\servername
